Plagued by its horrendous timing just before the Great Depression started, the canal-laden subdivision development was abandoned for over two decades

The Colony Tower Complex with maybe 4 houses in it in 1949, almost 25 years after the development began.

By 1961, more canals were being dug and some canals are even fully lined with houses

In #silks 1 class tonight with Ann (she appears at the end) and while it may not seem like it, this is definite progress! This is called a split roll up. It is a great example of not thinking I could do it at all and surprising myself. And my footlocks were nearly even! #aerials

Back in #lyra 1 class tonight. This is a combo I am very familiar with, but there is always more to perfect. Especially since I was doing it on my LEFT side (the one I'm not always great about training). Peter Pan, Birdie, forward roll, split under the bar, pencil, stapler, staple remover. #aerials

#aerials #silks class tonight had one of those wins that only makes sense to oneself because it’s small but big: I managed to get even double foot locks in dancer’s wraps. Was I off the ground only by about 2 inches? Yes. Am I still proud of myself? Also yes.

They separated the silk sides, held high on it and went in the middle to make a beginner figure. The leg that is held by the foot lock is straighted back, while the front leg is bent and goes forward. They're wearing a loose t-shirt, shorts and yoga pants. They have a slicked back neck lenght hair that looks a bit messy. They have a lean build, cone-shaped small horns, pointy ears, and a very long devil tail.
