While I was gone, I gained 2 more followers on my Backerkit project #ADragonForDarius. You! Yes you, just sitting there. Join us.

Today's fave line:
"Baihu laughed in her head, a sultry, sinister sound like velvet rubbing against her skin in all the best places."

My #AwesomeCharacter Darius compares herself to a few of the other rebels who have taught her that sacrifice for the greater good is worth it.

Welp, #ScribesUnited, I've been back to writing. Not fast, but getting there. Drake has gone off the rails. I'm worried about where this is going. At 22.5K for volume 4 of #ADragonForDarius.

Hey, did you follow this project on backerkit yet?

#TBBChat: 5
From #ADragonForDarius Vol. 4.
There is a great deal of humanity but we're going to go with monstrosity here, since I'm on that kick now.

CW: Drake is having a very bad day, captured by the All Father and subjected to psychic torture.

The attack fell on him so hard that it cut off all thoughts. Searing flesh beneath his scales started to bake, burn, and char. The pain of the dragon spear poison flared as his powers flared, involuntarily trying to ward off the attack. Drake thrashed against the bindings, succeeding in snapping one of the straps over his shoulders. Voices and movement around him gave him an outside sensation to focus on. Somewhere to crawl, mentally, as his flesh continued to burn. It’s not real, Yu! It’s just in your mind! Do you think I can’t bake you for real, wurm? You’re immortal. I will slice off dragon steaks for my Host every evening, and every morning you will heal. And we will dine on steak for a month. And when we tire of steak, we will explore other delicacies. Pain lanced through Drake’s guts as mental fingers brushed over his liver, his stomach, squelched through the intestines, pulling on them. Drake sobbed in response.

My hero Darius from #ADragonForDarius

What three things would you use to bait a trap for her?
My personal answer to follow...

A young woman with pale skin, blonde ringlets, dark eyes and dark lips. She is wearing red, holding a map, and has a backpack. She is wearing a collar with a pentacle engraved on it.

Writing is strange. I haven't finished writing the last of #ADragonForDarius but I'm looking forward to returning to my Lady Warrior Saga and meeting my newest leading man, Jericho. At the same time, I have to continue going back to my other children and introducing them.

#litHodgePodge 2:
The dark characters of #ADragonForDarius, find themselves in a sappy Christmas Romcom. Now, Darius, Drake, and Cal? They're one step away already. But the remaining cast members are going to be looking for a community Christmas center to overthrow.

From #ADragonForDarius Vol. 4:
"The gift of life passed from the Angel to the Dragon."

Drake is the only one who would make a cake, a functional German Chocolate.

I'm cobbling together an animated AMA of Drake and Darius about their new book #ADragonForDarius. I am half-certain I have lost my mind. However, it makes me giggle, so surely it's worth the effort.

Cal studied the floor, the bed, the curtain. He squinted at a bulletin taped to the door with font too small to read. With a sigh, he turned to Pahaliah. “Do you think they report bullet wounds here? I know in the States, every bullet wound is reported to the cops.” “Have you been ‘nicked’ before because of that?” Pahaliah ased, their lips twitching. “Nah,” Cal scoffed. “But I have had to befriend more than my share of veterinarians.”
