#Wildlife #documentaries are to blame that most people don't know how real life works or have never heard of the 10% energy law of life.
Let's zoom in. How many carnivores do you see? How often do documentaries show carnivores instead of the majority of life which does not kill to live?
Sea surface and global temperatures have started to increase faster and by more in recent years. °C, ppm or sea levels are all > SSP5-8.5. The worst case scenario hasn't been avoided but exceeded. These are mere symptoms of too many humans eating too many animals, driving and flying too much.
How does life work? We don't care.
Yes, most still don't know what primary production is or what the difference is between primary and secondary consumers. Yes, most still don't know what the 10% energy rule is or that we are breaking it 🤷♀️ #NTHE

Even Trump has his moments and can be philosophical. Yes, there are benefits to accepting our own death and the end of humanity. #NTHE
When (chosen) secondary consumers like humans destroy global primary production at a pace unheard of since the evolution of life - they break the 10% energy rule. Life as we know it stops. Life ends faster than ever before today. Life goes extinct faster than ever before today.
Correction: Not 5 years - 2002-2025 is 23 years.
But today, we have new ways to kill forests other than deforestation. Insects and microbes in protected nature reserves are vanishing due to agriculture toxins far away. We see a global insect biomass loss of up to 5%.
We can destroy primary forests in days. Ecosystems takes 300-1000+ years to recover. If we destroy the soil microbes with pesticides (technically broad spectrum antibiotics), nothing can ever recover and the damage is irreversible.
Microbial extinction = #NTHE

We cannot use more land aka destroy more wildlife habitats aka more humans eating more animals - and not go extinct.
Island/sphere math: One cannot increase secondary consumption (animals eating animals) too fast whithout decreasing primary production (plants/microbes). Consumption is NOT decoupled from production.
2002-2025 we ate/killed 87 Mha humid primary forest - a global decrease of 8% in 5 years.
Most humans I know have nothing left in their lives that is larger than their own lives. Private kingdoms make our lives smaller, not larger. Worse, the lifeworld of most humans is mostly other humans who we don't know and concrete caves.
Zeke aka Me Stripe.com and I had a fun discussion a few months back re the upcoming El Nino. Back then he predicted 1.61°C for 2027 and I asked "why so low?" given that we saw 1.6°C back in 2024 already. He response was clear: "block"
Zeke: "The worst case has been avoided"

Lula and Bolsonaro are the same. Just like there is no difference between the left and the right when it comes to eating meat, dairy or driving cars & flying. We are all Marie Antoinette today. To survive, we should have ended all deforestation.

Many climate channels accept & discuss the symptoms of collapse. C, W/m2, ppm, etc.
Few discuss the causes of the symptoms like population or eating animals. Few discuss the conclusions of symptoms like near term human extinction.
Why the endless symptoms loops? ♻️ Is it a feature or a bug? #NTHE
The scandal isn’t that we don’t know about the heat loss of fossil fuels. The scandal is that we don’t discuss ongoing energy demand growth aka population growth or that building solar and EVs requires fossil fuels. We can’t transition without first reducing population & consumption. #NTHE
