Hurricane #Nolo took a sharp turn west and passed about 150 south of Hawaii, sparing the state from a storm that at one point was forecast to cause potentially catastrophic flooding. There were isolated road closures, but the National Weather Service is not reporting any significant flash flooding.

UPDATE: #Nor'easter impacts continue thru early high-tide cycles today, but the storm will significantly diminish this afternoon so flood waters can begin to drain. #Nolo is moving away from Hawaii. #Polo will make landfall on Baja and bring flooding moisture to the SW. More at HurricaneIntel.com

Nolo has been fluctuating in intensity for the past day or so and has moved away from Hawaii; impacts were not as bad as expected, since it was farther south. #Nolo is likely to become a major hurricane this week, away from any landmasses.
