The cross-device AirDrop supports a new platform: 🐧 Blip is now on Linux.

Download: https://blip.net/linux

Besides store installs, they also provide: Arch package, Nix flake, and install script.
Nice to see them treating Linux as a first-class.

The Dutch government is building DAWO, an open digital workplace with NixOS at its core. It also has a Fedora Kinoite fallback path.

This is digital sovereignty becoming real infrastructure.

I really love :nixos: #NixOS for stuff like this:

It has annoyed me for the longest time that :xfce: #XFCE's terminal doesn't make urls with unicode characters (i.e. German umlauts äöü) clickable properly. It also has a pretty small hard-coded list of allowed […]

Six of my systemd user units start with `ExecStart=/usr/bin/bun`. On NixOS, /usr/bin holds one thing: env.

Planning a move off Arch. First step: `rg '/usr/bin/' ~/.config/systemd/user`

The fix: declare them in Home Manager as `${pkgs.bun}/bin/bun`.

The Netherlands is building a NixOS-based open-source ecosystem to replace Microsoft. After US sanctions on the ICC restricted software access, the government is treating open-source as essential national infrastructure. 🇳🇱 go.pf7.net/fatmr #opensource #nixos #digitalsovereignty #techfreedom
