A poem by Carol Carman called 'The Wonders of The World'

The wonders of the world are such

We do not think about them much.

Let off the leash, we’ve dropped our guard,

We’ve set fire to our own back yard.

We’ve poisoned our sweet water well

 And set a course for living hell.

Greed and love of money’s turning

Paradise to embers burning.

The wonders of the world are such

We need to think about them much.

We need to halt, make reparations,

Safeguard future generations,

Stop this senseless self-attack;

Earth gives us life – we must give back

Her balance and her harmony

Because there is no planet B.

Still quite proud of this one. It was displayed outside the Royal Society of Geography :)

Is our best insult ‘funny beyond measure’ ‘incorrect in every way’ ‘we would rather not read a poem’ or ‘drizzle of words’?
