btw still 19% battery after 5 days 6h using the powersaving firmware. https://github.com/IoTThinks/EasySkyMesh/wiki/PowerSaving
So I've been called out over something on #MeshCore and I want to know what other people think I should do in this situation.
I wanted to reply to someone from a neighbouring country on Public, usually not an issue but sometimes the message doesn't propagate, and I […]
Noch wer auf den Kieler Linuxtag heute?
starting to document our #meshcore best practices more clearly, as news item instead of buried in configuration pages, so we can point people at them more easily https://lora.reseaulibre.ca/news/2026/09/18/please-use-3-bytes-routing/ more coming as we manage the exponential growth of the […]
Decided to give Wadamesh a go on the tdeck.
Must say it is very usable, and easy to use compared to ripple. very much liking it so far.

ThinkNode M9 #MeshCore terminal found to be shipping malware.

For anyone building their own nodes, I found this handy sizing document for various connector sizes. It'll come in handy as I drill out power and antenna holes in these enclosures for the new nodes.

Decent summary of the recent #MeshCore issues with Part 15 https://hackaday.com/2026/09/17/fcc-ism-rules-may-shatter-lora-mesh-communities/
An EXCELLENT article on LoRa mesh radios and the FCC "500 kHz" rule.
https://beala.substack.com/p/the-fcc-want-me-to-use-more-bandwidth
#Meshtastic / #MeshCore's default #LoRa configs (250/62.5kHz) violate FCC 15.247's 500kHz minimum bandwidth rule. Fixing it breaks backward compat, fragmenting mesh networks by config version — Philly Mesh already jumped ship to MeshCore over it.
LoRA meshes like #meshcore and #meshtastic in murky FCC waters, it seems. I may be missing something, but it puzzles me why there would need to be a stipulation of a *minimum* bandwidth at all. Surely a narrower bandwidth is beneficial to all users of the spectrum?
