You know, if they ever do bring back Super Sentai, between last ep's monster, the hair dryer monster in Jetman, and the two monsters that WANTED to go back to jail in Timeranger, maybe make an entire team of monsters that WANT to be good/redeemed? That'd be interesting. #SuperSentai #Dairanger

"What a cute little girl, I could just heat you up!"

HAI MONSTER OF THE WEEK! #SuperSentai #Dairanger

We open with a dad and his kid pulling into a gas station...

(Sees the dude in camo)

...ran by the People's Republic Army...I guess... #SuperSentai #Dairanger

Up next, the latest Evil SUM Club of Evil's plan involves a monster turning little girls into dolls...and...a cactus into a woman...

...ooooooooookkkkkaaaaaaaaaayyyyy... "A Prickly Maiden Hunt!" #Dairanger #SuperSentai

Yeah, I made wise cracks about why this ep exists, that it's beat for beat a condensed version of one of Sailor Moon's infamous arcs, and how the monster pulled a face turn...but this was very well acted and the climax is one of the most heart breaking things in Sentai's history. #Dairanger

Giant zombie monster defeated, Rin sends her picture of her and the human looking monster into the sea, we hear a somber version of her song as the ep ends. #SuperSentai #Dairanger

"I'll never forgive you---" Anger may lead to hate...but it also leads to powers restored that Rin transforms & punches the laady Gorma so hard, she flips over and we see her stockings match her top. Well, this means she's gonna make the monster grow big and I guess love's fleeting... #Dairanger

Of course, if you know what happened with this plot in Sailor Moon, you know the inevitable as the Goma dies a hero protecting the woman that showed he did indeed have a heart.

The difference being she's not 14, so it's not creepy. #SuperSentai #Dairanger

Monster pulls a face turn an---

"Uh, sir, the fire got close to the Goma stunt actr---"
KEEP ROLLING, WE'RE ON A BUDGET! #SuperSentai #Dairanger

No! I don't mean "Power Rangers sucks!" It's the internet, I hav eto clear it up because I know the internet.

I mean for a kids' show, these performances are great and a good dub would just elevate it for an international audience. #SuperSentai #Dairanger

Monster confesses everything, shows his true form...and my God, the pain both actors show over all of this...not gonna lie, it makes me wish all the more we actually got a dub and not what became Power Rangers. #SuperSentai #Dairanger

"Rin!" I think this is one reason I find the monsters more memorable in sentais like this and stuff like the later half of Jetman and Timeranger than in other entries or earlier eps of Jetman, IE, given actual personalities as opposed to "Grrr, me bad." #Dairanger #SuperSentai

The show starts and Rin's energy gets right to the masses...who co all evil. However, in Tokyo they say, the monster of the week's heart grew three sizes that day!

And, honestly, if you've seen various sentai before or after #Dairanger, it's not as odd or stupid as it sounds. #SuperSentai

Well, turns out the monster can do anything...except heal his wound when switching forms, so Rin has to bandage it up and hey, anybody remember Sailor Moon? I wanna remember Sailor Moon for some odd reason... #Dairanger #SuperSentai

So, the plan is this, use all the images of Rin as a filter, give every human Ch'i powers with a dose of brainwashing, and thus you convert the masses while draining Rin of all her power!

Remember, Ch'i and the Evil S&M Club of Evil's energies are that connected. #SuperSentai #Dairanger

"Ch'i Power!" ...AND MAKE THEM MURDERERS, HOLY SHIT! #SuperSentai #Dairanger

Oh, and turn them into the Evil S&M Club of Evil, apparently, as some of the posters turn humans into demons. #SuperSentai #Dairanger

And of course, like I've been saying, the one shot love interest is the monster of the week...and it's a two for one deal! Turns out not only is every picture taking some of Rin's Chi energy, but making her an idol'll enslave humanity. #SuperSentai #Dairanger

Rin's energy has gone kaput, but her would be love interest...

HAI MONSTER OF THE WEEK!

...is there to catch her falling. #SuperSentai #Dairanger

Rin's actress, Natsuki Takahashi, is very beautiful and is a great singer, and it was clear that this ep was made to take advantage of it...but it's also clear it's also here due to the idol craze. #Dairanger #SuperSentai
