Every single use I have of "elevator" is spoilery except one:

Away down the hall, the elevator dinged.

Okay, scrolling Bsky feels like doing work, but I should be editing #CourtroomGhost at this time.

TTYL, all you lovely people.

Krissy reads a book to MC while he's in the hospital. I don't name it specifically, but it's a Nate the Great book (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nate_th... )! MC thinks it's cute.

He also gets audiobooks played to him.

MC does NOT, technically, have a rep. BUT his progenitor did, and that's among the things he's inherited. Infamy, mostly. Strangers recognize him and hide.

This is what Ghost wants MC to fix.

#LateNightWrite

Hi all! I'm excited to be starting edits on #CourtroomGhost. I found a problem with the story on line 2, so I'm off to a promising start. For the record, I don't fix the problem and go on; I note the problem on a problem sheet, write the problem sheet page number on the MS, and go.

I went to the local writer's meetup at the library today. There are some good local writers! Now I'm trying to decide what part of #CourtroomGhost I should share at the next meeting. I'm thinking the beginning, but I have other parts I'd like feedback on, too.

I have added one line to #CourtroomGhost today.

This is the ghost to the MC in their first real conversation:

I've had two years to think about what I want to say to you and you come at me with the one question I can't answer: “Who am I?”
