It's fascinating that #BeingThere is about a gardener and gardening is brought up quite often but it's set in winter and there isn't a whole lot in green or flower. It's one of the most wintry movies ever. #TCMParty

When a movie on TCM includes a clip of another classic movie (in the case of #BeingThere, Jezebel and later on The Thomas Crown Affair) is that TCM-ception? #TCMParty

But it's like every time somebody does a what's-your-favorite-movie project like this somebody's gonna bring up #BeingThere (that's how it got into the Criterion Collection 40th anniversary box set, it kept getting picked out by visitors to the closet). #TCMParty

Yes, once again it's #BeingThere, comedy's answer to 2001: A Space Odyssey #TCMParty

BORN OTD 100 YEARS ago one of my all-time favorite actors #PETERSELLERS. He was a TRUE chameleon as are most of the best actors&should have won the Best Actor OSCAR the year he died in 1980 for #BEINGTHERE. I once spent a week staying in his suite at the #DORCHESTER hotel in London where he died.
