Ten days till I pull the strips but I think I'm going to open the hive after five just to make sure they aren't trying to make new queens, as they sometimes do with Formic. Then I'll give them a break and check again and if the mites are back to 1/100 I'll do the Apivar for the winter. #beekeeping

of all the times to get stung it's when I'm walking through the backyard. In fairness, I was wearing dark clothes, and I was walking through the bee's flightpath from their hive...but I was like twenty feet away and I swear one of em decided that was just too close.
