PRACTICE REPORT: #Commanders QB Jayden Daniels - Will practice this week.
#Commanders HC Dan Quinn said QB Jayden Daniels, LB Frankie Luvu and TE Chig Okonkwo will travel to London and practice this week. Gives them a chance to play against the Colts.
Would not have guessed that Josh Allen is one of just four players in #NFL history to rush for 2+ TDs in each of the first games of a season. #Bills #Browns #Commanders #Chiefs
#Commanders LB Sonny Styles has been reliable in coverage this year. He's only been targeted 8 times across 86 coverage snaps according to NFL Pro. He's given up 5 catches for 74 yards and 1 TD, but also has a pick and two pass breakups.
The #Commanders defense has been ultra aggressive this year. They've blitzed on 42.2% of their opponent's drop backs (5th highest rate in the NFL) according to NFL Pro. Despite that, their pass rush has been relatively average. They have a pressure rate of 37.9% (13th).
Coleman is tied for the second-most allowed pressures in the NFL with 13, according to TruMedia. While it'd be unrealistic to expect him to play to Laremy Tunsil's level, the #Commanders need him to be better than that in pass pro.
#Commanders' Week 3 pass protection stats, per TruMedia:
- LT Brandon Coleman: 4 pressures allowed
- LG Chris Paul: 1 pressure allowed
- C Lucas Patrick: 2 pressures allowed
- RG Nick Allegretti: 6 pressures and 1 sack allowed
- RT Josh Conerly Jr.: 2 pressures allowed
#Commanders' W3 coverage stats, per NFL Pro:
- A. Robertson: 9 tgts, 3 recs, 46 yds, 1 TD
- R. Douglas: 4 tgts, 3 recs, 40 yds
- M. Sainristil: 4 tgts, 4 recs, 41 yds, 2 TDs
- F. Moreau: 1 tgt, 1 rec, 1 yd, 1 TD
- J. Reaves: 1 tgt, 1 rec, 18 yds
- Q. Martin: 3 tgts, 2 recs, 34 yds
The Commanders are expected to re-sign RB Austin Ekeler.

Report: Commanders LB Leo Chenal to have season-ending neck surgery #NFL #Commanders #LeoChenal #FootballInjury #InjuryReport
Can confirm #Commanders LB Leo Chenal will have surgery to repair a fracture in his neck and miss the rest of the season. He has feeling in his extremities, but there's obviously a lot of uncertainty with any procedure of that nature.
INJURY UPDATE: #Commanders LB Leo Chenal will undergo season-ending surgery for a fractured neck suffered Sunday vs. Seahawks, per Jordan Schultz. Chenal has feeling in all extremities and is expected to make a full recovery.
Happy victory Monday to those who celebrate.

ROSTER MOVE: #Commanders RB Austin Ekeler - Signed (Commanders to bring back Austin Ekeler).
As good as Marcus Mariota looked, there’s no uncertainty about Jayden Daniels’s standing. If he’s healthy, he’ll be the starter.
What Mariota’s performance does, however, is allow the #Commanders to avoid rushing Daniels’s return: www.washingtonpost.com/sports/2026/...
I can confirm the #Commanders are expected to sign Austin Ekeler. He played for them for 2 years, but suffered a torn Achilles in '25 and wasn't re-signed.
Washington has a couple injuries that created a need for RB depth: Jeremy McNichols (quad) and Rachaad White (shoulder).
