Hearing the staff had issues with working on UY towards the end (And that the 4th UY movie was a greeviance movie), seeing that the staff is adapting the earlier stories much to the anime's detriment, and remembering 3 and 4 of A-Ko, I realized WHY A-Ko 3 and Final were bad OVAs. #UruseiYatsura

You know, I realized something. I was gonna save this for the 4th #ProjecktAKo when we got to the perfect 4K collection...but the only one of those in 4K is the first one and the rest is the standard blu-ray so I don't know if we'll look at the 4th one, so here we go... #UruseiYatsura

Lum puts the umbrella with some birds to protect 'em from the rain...and when Ten tries to bully the birds, he tells Lum everything...and Ataru hears it all.

*SIGH* I'm starting to get why the staff was fed up with this show... #UruseiYatsura

Ten knows anger makes you stupid and manages to get the cat to punch him...and let go of the umbrella...buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut it pops open and the wind takes it from there to Lum's hands. #UruseiYatsura

BTW, @digiranma.bsky.social if you happen upon any bookstore that happens to carry Urusei Yatsura Vol. 14 when you flip through it you'll probably go "Wow, they pretty much adapted the ENTIRE season from this volume!"
#UruseiYatsura #LUM #ThoseObnoxiousAliens #Episode186 #AnimeRetroRewatch

Well, we found the umbrella...and it's in the hands of the one eyed cat Ten always gets in a fight with... #UruseiYatsura

When Ataru pushes Ten too far, he concludes the dream he wants to come true is to crush Ataru, so we see a dream where he's a matador and Ataru...is on all 4's in a bullsuit...

...I have so many questions but I get the feeling half the internet is looking up Ataru's bullsuit... #UruseiYatsura

And to make sure they don't get sued, we're THREE notes off of copyright. #UruseiYatsura

We see one of Ten's dreams, marrying Sakura and taking her to the Moutains---

*CRASH*

...but even his dreams can't ignore the fact he's a toddler and she falls like a tree, so on to the next one, SUPERTEN! #UruseiYatsura

It turns out the fairy came here via umbrella and made the portal to take shelter from the rain...and lost his umbrella, so he's asking Ten for help in exchange for a dream to come true.

We're screwed. #UruseiYatsura

It is funny how both the UY and Ranma reboots gave Ten and Happosai MUCH less screentime which is very telling on both the OG animes.
#UruseiYatsura #LUM #ThoseObnoxiousAliens #Episode185 #AnimeRetroRewatch @digiranma.bsky.social

The next day, Ten floats around the city and finds a portal in a puddle that let's him contact a fairy that grants wishes to children!

...we're screwed... #UruseiYatsura

...nobody is worried that Ten is KO'd for the rest of the night?

I mean, it is bliss, but still...

(Sees Ten guiding Rodan to beat up Ataru) ...never mind, let him sleep, let him figure things out. #UruseiYatsura

So while this is manga based we've reached the part of the series where they're adapting the "current" chapters more conservatively and either doing filler or adapting stuff from WAY earlier in the run!

Always,
You are watching me, I am watching you.
How'd you like to have a pounding heart?
Gentlemen, I'm Sorry.
It's too bad you're overstimulated.

Here we are the final season of classic #UruseiYatsura but it's not the end of Ataru and Lum's adventures!
@digiranma.bsky.social

We actually open on Ten and Utaru playing Godzilla Vs. Rodan...and Ataru is happy that he wrecked a kid's toy.

I don't care that it's Ten, you don't wreck a kid's toy! #UruseiYatsura

It was a dark and stormy night...I've taken a creative writing course! #UruseiYatsura #MST3K

Up next... (Grabs a diet Mt. Dew)

...what? I don't drink. "Dreaming of Ten's Big Adventure At The End of the Rainbow!" #UruseiYatsura

Around an hour from now, a Ten centered episode...God help us all... #UruseiYatsura

I still don't know what to dress her up as this month🤔; I hope I can do two drawings for Halloween😓. In the meantime, here's a sneak peek while she's getting changed.🫣
