There's a good ep here but the plot still just ends with anoher big tadaaa by TLR. The misdirection by TLR is kinda fun though.

This was messy, eg the visiting daughter didn't play into the plot really.

Characterisation is the sacrifical lamb as plot and action reign supreme.
I like each Texan who is not the actual TLR being IDed posthumously on screen.

Really like this ep as the snobbery that cattle herders have over sheepherders drove the plot cleverly.

I like that there are 5, now 4 Texans cosplaying as TLR so we still don't know which is TLR.

This does depend on one character having had a back history with TLR. Almost certainly those past events were not in any Radio ep as this show isn't developing a continuity in any manner as yet.

It's quite a weak historically inaccurate ep. I wonder if the 1930s folk even knew The Apache Kid's precise details.

We don't know which of 5 actors is TLR and as per the Radio show you may not state who plays TLR. This means the TLR actor isn't in the opening credits!
Tonto is next but as the actor is a POC his name is a blank. He is only credited later with the support cast!

The opening ep of a Republic serial is always 30' but subsequent eps are 18'. The plot was engrossing in #1 and here we're back in the straightforward action/adventure serial mode with derring do.

Aaah ok so this is a shorter smaller scale ep about a woman wanting to marry a sheriff and a family secret.
I liked the change of pace after that giant sized movie serial.
