So I replayed the audio a few times and really let all of the different noises, sounds, voices, etc resonate with me. And because I did that I was able to connect some of what I heard with certain things I know and recognize. #soundstudy

With visuals I would have had visual context about what was happening and not have to wait for the next narration, so without it I had to focus more on background noises as context. #soundstudy
I wonder how it would sound like if the nature music was mixed in with a dark theme music instead of the classical violin music and with the narrator if they were just whispering the whole entire time.

I think one thing would be that I wouldn’t have realized more into the background. The sounds of it or realizing that the different types of sounds that are playing at once, and noticing what they are describing

8:00 is what surprise me with the loud instruments and loud music and all the background all at once with visual. I feel like it wouldn’t hit the same because I’m able to see it, but since I’m not able to see it, I got a surprise with the lack of image, it did encourage me to notice. #soundstudy
I wonder how the mood would change if the narration were performed like a song and the sounds in the background created the rhythm #soundstudy
After reading TMITM, I listened more carefully to the background audio and considered how each sound helped develop the story. Instead of waiting for the speaker’s voice, I paid attention to the meaning created by everything around it #soundstudy
One moment that surprised me was the unexpected mix of music and children shouting. It does make the scene feel energetic and alive. Even though the sounds seem random at first, they help the audience understand the author’s excitement. #soundstudy
I wonder how it would sound if the narrator were replaced by a singer and the background noise became a song's beat. #soundstudy
#soundstudy I probably wouldn't have even noticed much of the background noise, but The Medium Is the Massage has helped me pay closer attention to detail.
At 8:04, I faintly hear a siren. This surprised me based on how peaceful it was before. #soundstudy
I am so impressed by how balanced the music and background noise was. The choices of instruments and the way it slowly built up was such an enjoyful experience. I really want to be able to create atmosphere as effectively and ethereal sounding music #soundstudy
I would have only acknowledged how immersive the sound was and how beautiful it was. The Medium is the Massage guided me to notice my internal experience. To notice that certain noises or music are triggering thoughts or emotions #soundstudy
8:00 feels like I was super speeded to a busy area by the sea. Visuals would force the imagination on the watcher while listening gives the listener the freedom to imagine. l noticed all of the individual voices #soundstudy
5:20 is when the ethereal vocals begin. I picture a gate opening to another world. I start moving through another world as the music and the ambients loudens. The music was so effective at slowly building an environment in my head #soundstudy
the sound effect I mentioned earlier is going to bother me all night. why that sound? what inspired this creative decision?? #soundstudy
i want more insight on the background noise and how it was chosen, where it was sourced and why. there were many moments were the background noise made perfect sense but there were still bits of confusion imbedded throughout #soundstudy
i was able to keep a curious mind about how messages were being delivered and kept a keen eye for things out of the norm. I would not have honed in so closely on the background noises had it not been for my prep with TMITM. #soundstudy
at 8:04 there was the decision to use a sound effect that did not seem to fit with the previous statement, i was surprised that this was the chosen sound effect and if there had been visuals i dont think it would have been as jarring. #soundstudy
#soundstudy I think that we don’t always have to know and understand everything that’s being said, sometimes we can just let our bodies, thoughts and minds enjoy content that we are seeing
