πΈ Bonuses of whale watching: setting sun over Olympics & rising moon over Cascades. By Alisa LB 9/26.
17:28 - met the little one finally. At least 36A1s and presumably Tempest slightly ahead off Kayu Kayu Ac park, Shoreline east of mid channel heading south. Not sure if Loon & Wright are nearby but presume so. Steady southbound with calf being super precious. π
17:08 - I am seeing at least a few loosely grouped between Edmonds Dog Park and Point Wells ( tank farm). Distance from shore is in line with Loon and Wright earlier but thereβs more so not sure if some or all of the others have joined. All southbound - Alisa LB
16:34 - Loon & Wright (per Alli IDs) continuing southbound ~mile offshore Edmonds out from Near dive park/Sunset Ave.
Other group trailing to the NW.
Pod is a bit spilt:
16:15 - Ts (-minus Loon & Wright) offshore out from Browns Bay, Edmonds, due south of Possession Point. Keeping to this side (vs Admiralty) ~2 miles off southbound.
16:20 - Loon & Wright are parallel the others ~mile offshore out from Ocean Ave. Steady pace southbound.
15:50 - Ts are out from Haines Wharf, North Edmonds moving south loosely grouped, ~ mile offshore or less mainland side.
- Alisa LB
15:15 - at least two here south end Possession strait very east in channel, hugging Muk side. Have slowed but still traveling SSE. Have not seen the calf so maybe this is 137s. - Alisa LB
14:55-13:00 - at least one female close inshore off S Mukilteo (across from between Glendale & Possession Beach park). Steady southbound. - Alisa LB]
Just two orcas apparently: T49A2 Jude (19 years) & his uncle T49C Neilson (28 years). Still unconfirmed if 07:10 was these two dudes.
As of 14:00 - they are northbound in Rosario Strait around Doe Bay, Orcas Island [WL]
