Do people ever stop to think of what a thousand years is? Remember, a thousand years ago, Europe was in feudalism still; the Black Death had not yet occurred even. Imagine twenty-five times that amount of time that somehow the governments of the world will cooperate to guard the massive amounts of nuclear waste we have created and are continuing to create. Surely you see how ludicrous that is. Now imagine five hundred times that amount of time that humans will still have to sidestep this waste or die.

Yet we continue to excrete massive amounts of it into our globe and even after the Fukushima meltdowns to push for building more plants.

We have watched baby dolphins by the hundreds washing up on Gulf and European coasts and the creation of hundreds of dead zones — some as large as a hundred miles across — in our seas. British Petroleum (BP), the perpetrator of the Gulf Oil spill, engaged in further criminal activity afterward by using toxic chemicals to disperse the oil rather than to collect it. The dispersants themselves are toxic.

These feelings, while they may be reinforced by later life events, oftentimes have roots that go back to a time immediately after birth. At this time, too frequently, the jaw is pulled down for the insertion of fingers and suction devices. It is done in a manner that is excruciatingly painful for a being that has spent his or her entire life — nine months — previous to that in a relatively placid environment with its mouth closed.

This ungentle procedure is also felt as an assault in that it occurs, usually, as the first event a baby is confronted with upon release from the womb. Its tiny mouth — never before fully opened — is often the first focus of attention, as large fingers (relatively) reach in, stretching the previously unopened and unstretched (virgin) mouth ... breaking the metaphorical oral hymen of the neonate in a way that is felt to the infant to be comparable in pattern and violation to oral sexual assault.

Importantly, a relief of symptoms seemed to follow from the re- experience of these birth memories. They came to the conclusion that a birth imprint occurs, which is induced by the extreme stress of that time and is resistant to fading from later experience. Further they asserted that this imprint could be the cause of a wide spectrum of psychiatric and psychosomatic disorders.

Leslie Feher — Psychoanalysis, Birth, Cutting of Umbilical Cord, Separation Trauma

Leslie Feher (1980) sought to extend the Freudian tradition farther back into areas that, she asserts, were until only recently unknowable. Thus, she describes a natal theory and therapy that includes experiences of cutting the umbilical cord, birth, and even prebirth.

In fact, she considers the cutting of the umbilical cord to be central in her theory of trauma, calling it the crisis umbilicus, and echoes Fodor in claiming that it is the true origin of the castration fears made so much of in psychoanalysis.

In addition, the tasks of mothering, for that devil-may-care chimp mother includes nothing like what is required of human mothers in terms of pacifying the infant. Being more mature and less helpless, chimp and gorilla babies do not need to, nor have they evolved to be able to, scream and wail for attention and to express their needs like human newborns do. That is another thing that is distinctly different between us and our relatives in Nature: Human babies require more pacifying, thus more attention in that regard.

This book began when I was in the middle of writing about a strange phenomenon that we became accustomed to over the eight years of W. Bush and forgot it to be strange: those in power screwing up royally and essentially blaming their dumbness.

In fact, through his study of womb and conception patterns he claimed to have discovered patterns that underlie and unite all of reality at all levels of manifestation — astronomical, social, personal, cellular, and even nuclear. While this may seem rather grandiose, his work was highly regarded and admired by Carl Jung.

Mott also carried forward the intimations of earlier prenatal theoreticians, notably Rank and Fodor, on the gestational basis of archetypes. While he does not address or seek to discredit the range of, supposedly genetic, archetypes postulated by Jung, his work is highly suggestive of an experiential, specifically, pre- and perinatal, as opposed to genetic basis for many of these.

Treated Like a “Piece of Meat”

This practice of ungentle mouth clearing — performed by hurried or insensitive, and uninformed, medical personnel, unaware of the consciousness and keen feeling awareness of the neonate — can leave one with lifelong feelings of being treated like a “thing.”

Many report having overwhelming feelings of being dealt with mechanically and without respect. It is common for folks to have feelings of “not being seen.” People can have lifelong body memories of having one’s mouth stretched wide.

…into the distance. When not nursing, the child might be clinging to the mother’s fur, oftentimes not even in direct view of the mother’s eyes. At any rate, the mother, being clung to, appears unaffected and seemingly absent-minded, or watching and monitoring its environ- ment and the behavior of others in the social group in its vicinity.

Do not think this means planetmate mothers are detached and unfeeling toward their infants. Quite the contrary! They will show such a dedication to the care of their youngest as to put many human mothers (not all) to shame. Mother and child will stay together for life, in some species. Planetmate mothers have been known to die of grief if their infant dies. Just that the crucial and delicate time of infant vulnerability for humans has been gone beyond for our pri- mate relatives, during their time in the womb. They are “past all that.” This delicate time, this “external gestation” for humans re- quires incredibly more focus on the part of human mothers. The bonding that results from all that effort and mothering has some salutary benefits. The fact that it cannot be done perfectly? As it is done for primates during their corresponding development which occurs in the womb? Well, not so much.

The Challenge

Making wise choices implies that wrong ones are also possible. Hence there is the question of neurosis and of lost or misdirected lives. They are the Scylla and Charybdis of this journey. They are the rock shoals and whirlpools to avoid lest one’s destiny be merely to fail. Which, by the way, is a needful life trajectory for some and in some lives, if we consider the reincarnational nature of life. That is to say, in some lives we are meant to grow by experiencing failure and the consequences of wrong decisions. How else to appreciate making correct and happy life choices in other lives?

More frequently even than that, we may find ourselves in lives caught up in the limitations and proclivities of dominant others. No doubt we need to learn the miseries of domination and enslavement to better understand the value of freedom and free choice and authenticity of self in other lives and circumstances.

…four-thousand times stronger than the bombs dropped at the end of World War Two, whose continued production was terrorizing the awake folks back then.1 As concerns the environment, it is not just heading toward collapse, as it was when the ones with vision brought it to our attention in the Sixties. Now we are in out-and-out free fall. I know you do not know that. But we are.

Until you see how we are, as you continue to read in this book, at this point, for one moment, just imagine a person from a previous time in history being somehow transported into this time and being made to understand the impending forces: environmental collapse, species extinction, nuclear threat, population explosion, potential virulent epidemics on a worldwide scale far more deadly than the Black Death of the Middle Ages, human-caused earthquakes and thus tsunamis, planet poisoning, and so on.

Unless this person was Nostradamus, we can imagine this person would be hugely alarmed, to say the least. This person might well wonder at our nonchalance, or should we say apathy, in the face of such likely, not just potential, apocalypse.

Conception and Gestational Basis of Myth, Archetype, all Patterns of Macrocosmic and Microcosmic Realities and the Nature of Reality, Devolutional Model of Development

Francis Mott’s work is less well known even by this field’s standards, yet it is undeniably impressive. Mott’s (1960, 1964) major contribution lies in his focusing on basic patterns of mind and cosmos that correlate with prenatal feelings and states. He traced consciousness back to events around conception and saw these events as instituting patterns affecting all later experience and conceptual constructions. Through dream analysis he elicited these “configurations,” and he demonstrated their manifestation as seemingly universal archetypes in myths and universal human assumptions about the nature of reality.

This “vegetable” eruption always happens suddenly and climactically, and almost always it results in death. Scenes like this I have observed in the movie “Jacob’s Ladder,” several times on the hit show The X Files, and in many, many other shows.

Gag Me With a Toxin.

This version of suffocation probably has its roots in the force- feeding of toxic elements to the fetus in the womb through the umbilical cord, and is more definitely related — the symbol is probably an amalgamation of both feelings — to the ungentle clearing of fluids from the neonate’s mouth by the attendants immediately after birth.

This latter connection — the ungentle mouth cleaning of birth fluids — I can personally validate through my own primal experiences. Apparently I was not alone in being treated this way as a newborn in the 1940s and 1950s in America ... hence its popularity.

Now, think about humans’ mother-infant interaction. Compare the two. When we observe human mothering, let us say the mother is breast or bottle feeding her child, you might see the mother and baby looking deeply and for prolonged periods into each other’s faces. The same kind of intense interaction is characteristic of play times be- tween the two. Each is fully attentive to the nuances of facial expressions and sound emitted by the other. This is a lengthy inten- sive education for human infants in the finer points of facial expression. The mother might be making sounds, cooing, using words and talking, perhaps singing or humming in order to soothe and pacify.

Lay that alongside what we normally see in the mother-infant interaction of our primate relatives. Let us take, for example, chimps and gorillas. In Nature, chimps and gorillas do very little of that. A mother might be observed nursing, but her face is often looking off…

Keynote Speech from Ed Begins The Great Reveal

Mister Ed speaks for all planetmates. While it is clear he’s speaking from his own heart, Ed seems to be channeling the cumulative observations and feelings of the unimaginable number of living and dead of all species ever to live on this planet, especially those that observed us. In this message, they bring not just a wake-up call, a warning, and understanding of ourselves that goes beyond what we know. They bring also the way back, to sanity, to safety, in that they tell us not only how we’ve gone wrong, but also how we once had gone right and could once again.

You Ain’t Born Typical

The planetmates show us where we foolishly rebelled against a beneficent Universe, or God; and chose instead to go it alone, to reject the gift of the “given way” of happiness. We did such a stupid thing being fooled by our hubris, which actually arose out of a kind of inferiority complex we carried from birth, being only half-borns compared to all other species.

…unique abilities, and other positive proclivities of the individual. For potential determines actualization. As Maslow emphasized, if one has a strong ability to do something, one has a powerful motivation to do that thing; and one’s rewards for doing that, not something else, are overflowing. Character is not destiny as much as ability is. This is a central point in this endeavor of who to be.

Hence, this new and expansive take on Identity, as presented in this work, is related not just to “who one is” or simply “being myself,” it is related to one’s inmost potentials, talents, and proclivities. It is related to this new child-caring emerging out of the Sixties and throughout the world embracing these radical new parenting notions of “I just want you to be happy.” “I will love you regardless of what you choose.” And simply supporting the young in being “who they are.” Interestingly this can be compared to the traditional goal of education, whose root words indicate it is about “bringing out what is inside.”

Secondly, one needs to look at how these choices of who to be are differently configured at the various stages of life and in relation to its multitudinous exigencies. For indeed these requirements change as one traverses the stations of the life cycle and as one encounters distinctive life events, such as unexpected deaths and divorces, tragedies and the calamities that befall one, fickle fame and unforeseen fortune, and so on. This book addresses that as well.
