Raquel is afraid she'll never be accepted by anyone. She's been bullied by her entire village and just wants to be somewhere she belongs.

She faces this in the games, where she may not be accepted by everyone, but her teammates do (and she learns to accept herself!)

I used to be afraid that my writing wouldn't make me massively famous and wealthy. I overcame that by not needing validation so much, and by realizing that the whole point of writing is to have *fun*. Besides, being famous would suck. (I still wouldn't mind being massively wealthy.)

Overcame trauma from my 4th grade teacher that said I wouldn't amount to anything because I "was a lazy child" and that I wasnt smart enough. Yeah, turns out I was raw-dogging ADHD and found 4th grade boring/not engaging enough. Zero dopamine. Do not recommend.

#latenightwrite my deuteragonist or mc2 was purposefully given fears & i'm sure he confronts some of his fears. it's kinda a whole thing. however, again, i like real life sorta stuff, & a lot of that is chronic with no one easy fix

#latenightwrite i have a tendency to pants my way through stories. also struggle putting complex concepts into 1 simple word or short phrases, so that being said: in my main wip, i dunno if my mc has any strong fears outside of arachnophobia. i'm sure he has some…just don't know what they are yet

#LateNightWrite MC is very fearful of putting his trust in others. However, being (lovingly) forced into an adventuring party makes him question beliefs he's had that he thought was necessary to survive

Milo from The Witch of the Wood has a lot of fear. He’s afraid of failing, of being forgotten, of embarrassing himself.
However, as much as those fears swirl around in his head, he still tries to do his best. He still moves forward. He’s really the embodiment of “do it scared.”

In Animals WIP, there are stories scaring children about getting stuck in their animal form and losing their self.

This doesn't actually happen, but is meant to teach them to be mindful of the transformation limit that does exist and can make them sick.

#LateNightWrite MC is TERRIFIED of dying again. He will do anything to not die again. Other characters have the exact same fear. Ravi, though? Ravi's scared of loosing friends...and trained attack dogs. German Shepherds give him the shakes.

As for confronting those fears, well, spoilers.

I've gotten over the fear of writing something bad. I used to think first drafts had to be really good. I used to fear writing something badly.

I've now written enough bad drafts to know that it can always improve later with rewrites, revisions, and edits!

every single one of them fears Human Connection and yes I force every single one of them to confront those fears (although some of them fight it harder than others)
