Jura 16 nose: The additional ABV makes all the difference, this is definitely punchier than the 12. Crisp red apple, vanilla ice cream , short bread biscuits and maybe a hint of marmalade. #JuraWhisky

One the palate 16 year old 43% - spice, oak, peach, lemon tart, kidney beans, pickle juice. I tried this at the Pot Still, and I'm on the same side of the fence this time.

Palate: Quite thin mouthfeel. Honey, caramel, candied peel, creamy vanilla, cinnamon and a touch of maritime saltiness

That's really light but with more smoke, vinyl records, IKEA pencils, dark chocolate-enrobed ginger, green mukhwas and slightly burnt peshwari naan, gulab jamun, kulfi, halva, chai, vanilla latte. A smoky sage and ginger finish with apple tarts and custard doughnuts #JuraWhisky

Palate: Thin, a little floral, hint of parma violets, then disappears, mouth hold gives a little heat. A little of that pastry comes through, a little salinity, some salted caramel. Need bigger mouthful to get the softer flavours

Finish: Slightly nutty, pecan nuts, more pastry.
