Nepenthes ventricosa x sibuyanensis HC B before repotting. A sturdy and spectacular hybrid with sib size but vent vigor and shape. Between my two clones this one usually has higher contrast between lip and body but more slender pitchers

Cape Sundew is a commonly grown carnivorous plant. A South African native, it readily grows in moist warm conditions, feasting on tiny insects trapped in its sticky gooey leaves. The Latin name is Drosera capensis, in the Droseraceae family. #carnivorousplants #feedmeseymour #gardening #photography

The REAL Fly Trap

Your Venus flytrap is bad at catching flies.

There. I said it.

So why are these things sold as easy little houseplants?

And if you actually want a carnivorous plant for indoor bugs… what should you get instead?
