@mtnresearchmri.bsky.social🌱🏔️ More plant species are reaching European summits. But that’s only half the story.
Research across 62 summits finds local plant #extinctions are also accelerating, particularly among high-elevation specialists.
More species can mask #BiodiversityLoss.

@jncc.bsky.socialHow resilient are the supply chains behind the food we consume every day?
Around 50% of UK food consumption relies on imports from other countries. Yet #ClimateChange, #BiodiversityLoss & geopolitical events can affect the flow of goods around the world 🌍 🧵🔽
@justiceforall.bsky.social‘Vegans only care about animals’
Even if that were true, veganism combats most issues by default, incl but not limited to:
#WaterDepletion
#OceanDeadZones
Global hunger
#MarineDebris
DEFORESTATION
#Pandemics
Healthcare
#AntibioticResistance
Environmental Racism
#BiodiversityLoss
Ecological Collapse
@justiceforall.bsky.socialThe leading drivers of #BiodiversityLoss & species #extinction:
LIVESTOCK & FISHING 🚨 ☠️
We either care enough to act or we don’t, and middle grounding it (reduction) will never be enough. Please, learn to live vegan.
And if you are fortunate enough to have land in your care, #rewild where possible
@globalcommonshq.bsky.socialClimate risk, biodiversity loss, and geopolitical energy shocks are no longer separate crises, they're converging into one security threat, and governments are yet to keep pace.
