If your character is shaking, avoiding eye contact, or walking away, you may not need to tell us they're nervous, hurt, or angry. Let their actions carry the emotion.
Sometimes, showing less makes readers feel more.

“Tell me what you think” is hard for a beta reader to answer.

Ask about pacing, character motivation, emotional impact, confusion, or tension instead.

Specific questions create useful feedback.
