#TanSongYun updates Weibo as the most recent episodes of #AgainstTheCurrent air and hit a record breaking heat index on TencentVideo.

#AgainstTheCurrent also broke the 33000 heat index on Tencent Video, setting a new record for the highest heat index achieved by a drama on Tencent Video in 2026.

Also, in a way, Jialan did for Jinqi what Grandpa Lin refused to do for the Shen clan. I really need to see his reaction and thoughts when he finds out her identity. Especially after these events.

Jinqi gave Jialan every opportunity to address what she has learned about him, but she doesn’t even consider it worth mentioning. It feels like a new chapter in their relationship is beginning.

Second, when Jinqi inevitably finds out Jialan’s real identity, he will protect her at all cost. Because, by then, he will understand fully her position and he too will be living under the same values as her.

2/2

This is a very important scene for more than one reason. First, Jinqi learns what’s at the core Jialan personality: she protected him because she doesn’t want to ruin someone’s life. She wants to live well.

I am glad Jinqi got to listen to Xingtan’s last words. Maybe this will give him a different, more broad minded perspective and approach to court politics.

Let’s be real. Lady Zhao is giving the proof of Jinqi letting the deposed Crown Prince go because Jialan has been the only person in her life to actually help her or show her kindness. In her own twisted way, she’s repaying the favour.

DESERVED!!

Congratulations to the #AgainstTheCurrent cast and crew! 🎉

The mega hit cdrama #AgainstTheCurrent just made history!

It has officially entered the TOP 3 highest Tencent Index Peak of all time.

Congratulations to Director #HuangYingXiang, actors #TanSongYun, #LiuXueYi and the rest of the cast and crew for this achievement!

Lady Zhao’s rage was always justified. She never had a fighting chance and she didn’t deserved any of what happened to her. This is such a heartbreaking subplot, it shows how it doesn’t matter if you are born into privilege. The patriarchy still fvcks you over.

I am seeing a trend in cdramas lately where they are not shying away from showing, in a tasteful yet heartbreaking way, what happens to women when war breaks out and men run rampant in the streets.

#SpringOfTheBlade and #AgainstTheCurrent both addressed it.

Episode 32 #againstthecurrent I’m seeing a common theme here. I have seen someone post about it. This #cdrama is about women and what they have to endure through their lives under the laws, culture, rituals, and beliefs of the time. Even though they are not slaves their rights are restricted.

In the end, Xingtan was ahead of her time but didn’t have a support system that would help her achieve the independence she dreamed of. Society took her life, piece by piece, day by day, with every disservice to her intelligence and ambitions.
