Interesting question! I think that while I definitely write beginnings more often, starting projects and all that, I find writing endings far more satisfying!

Helloooo! Coming in a little late today, but I'm Alex Larkspur and I write queer fantasy! I'm the author of Sweet & Wild, The Need for Dandelions, and The Witch of the Wood.
I finally finished The Secret History about twenty minutes ago. Now I can give it back to my sister! 😅
Hi! I'm Claris (she/her) and I'm a mutli-genre author and poet! Currently writing Draft 2 of Book 1 of the sequel series to the Harlow Mystery series! 😆
If I'm not writing, I'm probably reading, gaming, or learning something new.
Ask me again when I get there 😂 I started two new series back to back... now I have the first book in a looser series with recurring characters I'm revising... next year will be a year of sequels but we're not there yet

I reread Beautiful, But Deadly all the time because I miss Oleander and Eadmund.
The Witch of Eden Hollow was such a commitment that when I finished it it kinda broke my heart a little bit, like 'what do I do now???'

...*cue me staring at the Harlow Mystery series and how much I missed it to the point that I'm now writing a sequel series* I think that would be a yes. 😆
One of my favourite things about starting a new story or series, from a writing perspective, is the opportunity to explore new characters and the worlds they live in, and how they all interact with each other. A cast of one series can be very different from another!
Depends on how I want to show off certain plot reveals and/or re-introduce readers to certain characters (especially if it's for writing a series).
No.
Not counting my novel, since I’m technically still working on it, but the short stories I’ve finished? They’re done. I’ve no intention of revisiting them.
Once I’ve finished a story, I’m usually ready to move on.
Everything comes to an end. It makes room for a new beginning.
Beginnings because I usually have an idea of how the story will start first.
Not *on it*, but sometimes I miss the characters and world. The interactions. Usually how I end up writing out little short story extras.
(but by the time I am done with a book I often have revised it often enough that I am, for the time being, SICK OF IT lol)

Oh god apparently. I've found myself rereading things I finished just for a fix of the characters and emotions again. 😂 Very likely why I'm focused more on a sequel to my first finished novel than a whole new one, too!
