In BLUDEYE BEACH, everything gives Edie anxiety 😂 monsters, social situations, family drama, ghosts, romance...it's all overwhelming. She's just doing her best to deal with it, anyway 😭

Veronica has a fear of fire. Which is ironic for a devil with fire magic. She can still light a match, but sudden or large fires just cause a trauma response

Ash doesn't like confrontation. It causes a lot of anxiety in her to be in the middle of an argument or cause trouble

on a real note, tho, the biggest cause of anxiety in DESECRATE is Catholicism. it's the backdrop of the story, and Kit trying to figure out what he believes is core to that. Leaving a religion is never easy, especially one that imparts such helpful gifts as Guilt and Shame
