This one's easy: Giant Polypore Meripilus giganteus!
Same tree, growing out of the ground (ie it's buried dead roots). Big football-sized frilly clumps of them!
#FungiFriday Fantastic fungi growing out of this dead beech tree by the river.
They twist up the trunk in a line, with beautiful wavy gills like feathers.
Some kind of Oyster mushroom (I think the Veiled Oyster Pleurotus dryinus?) but they are so dried out […]

El reig de fageda, un fong pigat, creix en boscos de coníferes i caducifolis. Ara, a final d'estiu, és quan se'n troben. Antigament es barrejava amb llet i sucre per matar mosques.

Tree fungus, the same huge tree stump as my Tuesday photo. Or is it slime mould? Looks more like budding fungus to me, but I'm no expert on slimes.
(Re: spelling of mould, my phone is set to UK English and it frowns upon mold)
#FungiFriday with tricholomopsis rutilans seen yesterday, it's wonderful common name is 'plums and custard' though this clump was a little pale on the chaos due to heavy rain. #mushrooms #fungi #vitaminN #Lancashire
