#WritersCoffeeClub Sep 9: What's your standard operating font, size, format? Or do you not have a standard?

TImes New Roman, 12pt, double line spacing, extra wide margins.

For drafting, which is personal, the font is Cambria 11pt, on A4, 123% zoom on my laptop.
But because I use Paragraph Styles, it takes 30 seconds to…

For paperbacks […]

#WritersCoffeeClub 9/8: International Literacy Day! Share a moment when a reading of your work surprised you.

My current WIP has been read by a few, and it surprised me what a difference a professional voice does to the text, when they read it back to me.

It sounded a lot more like a book and […]

#WritersCoffeeClub Sept. 8: International Literacy Day! Share a moment when a reading of your work surprised you.

Showed my WIP to my nursing practitioner so she could read a paragraph or two. She didn't want to give it back. Really surprised me!

#WritersCoffeeClub 9th Sep ~ Share a moment when a reading of your work surprised you.

#WritersCoffeeClub Sep. 8/9: Share a moment when a reading of your work surprised you.
The most surprising reading of my work was when a colleague of my partner, an eminent name in narrative sociology and health research, described Three Kinds of North…

#WritersCoffeeClub Sept. 7: What's something you thought would help your workflow, but didn't work out?

Scrivener.

It vexes me. Somehow it manages to make my entire process about itself rather than the story I'm writing.

It turns writing time into binder-organising, metadata-tagging […]

#WritersCoffeeClub Sep. 6 – If you work digitally, what keyboard or dictation do you use? If paper, what do you write with?

I'm a digital person. My keyboard? A Razer Ornata Chroma, a gaming keyboard with RGB, perfectly fine for non-gaming uses.

I used to use the Evernote App, but that was […]
