Today, I'm more asking for something specific. Your Arasakas and your ACMEs. Maybe your world's "Big Four" accounting firms have taken over.

What is their role in this place? Do they drain endlessly or do they recognize their workforce and try to keep them happy?

It's pretty much all tourism, all the way down in Belaqua. Except for seafood, some wine and some olive oil, everything else is imported. It's rare that there's enough wine to export, and when there is, it spensive.

An exception to Safe Harbor's relative under-representation of giant-blooded for the continent is the clear majority of their porters have sandwalker blood.

Though, even in that case, Safe Harbor has fewer full-blooded sandwalkers than other coastal cities in Centre.

Fascinating! Today-Eloy has agriculture, truck stops, prisons, and skydiving, with some manufacturing. Might be working on a recycling plant? There are few things made locally for locals, like most places in the US.

While nowhere near its past scale, Safe Harbor remains primarily a trade hub that goods come to and through, rather than originate from.

The Celestial Temple has made them a pilgrimage destination for a subset of the faithful. And exporter of premade miracles like potions of healing.

This one is pretty straightforward for the City of Gates. They exist for travel, trade and tourism.

People go there for the same reason they go to an airport, and they might stay at inns or pick up some small items along the way.

Sector 490 is one of the largest trade ports on the 4xx sectors, and the primary export hub for the continent. These the to be raw materials such as meat, fish, grain, iron ore, and rare earth minerals.

They primarily import finished consumer goods, such as clothing and electronics.

Up to a few years ago West Harewood only exported small amounts of produce, but all of Central Planning's contributions to the town's development came with a price: a new E-waste recycling plant has recently opened nearby. Small Folk are uniquely adept at stripping down electronics.

The main goods and sources from London (Olympia) that are often fruit and also natural resources like wood. They are often for people across the world who often don't have such things.

Nearly everything media-related is imported, since 90% of the stuff is non-Olympia-made.

I'd have to say the more high-end consumer and tech products, as Eriestria doesn't have a huge manufacturing base of its own. It's non-flake economy is mostly on shipping and patrolling the fringe.

B____ has a long history of producing lacquered and enamelled goods. It still does make those things, but now tourism is a more important sector. It has always had excellent breweries. Like most English cities, it has to import a lot of food. #Septopolis
