GENTLE MONSTER: A thorny drama about confronting something unimaginable about the one you love.

Marie Kreutzer’s sparse style has its limits, but Léa Seydoux gives a powerhouse performance.

Another #LFF day, another stacked day of random movie mayhem awaits. On today’s schedule - an animated Brad Bird caper, camp German vampires and Ashley Walters’ directorial debut. Let’s do this!

#ILoveBoosters is one of THE most off the wall movies I've ever seen. Lots of laughs, some fun moments & great performances. #LFF2026 #LFF

"A film about women trapped by the actions of men, their loved ones, the excuses they make and the difficulties of moving forward."

Léa Seydoux gives a powerhouse performance in Marie Kreutzer's GENTLE MONSTER! 🔥

Saw the UK premiere of Ken Russell's The Devils tonight, in 35mm at the BFI. The film is amazing, a fierce condemnation of hypocrisy and authoritarianism, passionately introduced by Mark Kermode. But amazingly, I was sat a few seats away from Dame Vanessa Redgrave. Top tier #lff experience

not every day you get to watch THE DEVILS (which is completely extraordinary) three seats away from Vanessa Redgrave 🤩 #LFF

Might have been at the UK premiere of Rogue Trooper.

I miiiiigght have been.

I was.

Gorgeous night at #HomeMCR watching #WildHorseNine as part of the #LFF satellite screenings.

Immediately one of my favourite McDonagh films 📽

First film of #LFF Rogue Trooper! Great start, wonderful to see a big mad sci fi film like this, hope we get more! Cheers @manmademoon.bsky.social

I just saw The Fox at the London Film Festival. It was so funny, the animatronic animals stole every scene they were in. There's another showing on Sunday if you can get a ticket!

Been looking forward to this for a while and it did not disappoint. John Malkovich on brilliant form.

First film of London Film Festival:

Musk documentary by Alex Gibney

2 hours outlining why Musk is a pretty deplorable character

Interval

2 hours showing you that first half was the ceiling and he descends to unutterable depths.

Felt depressing and essential.

Flawed but overall a decent watch by James Gray as two brothers get themselves entangled with the Russian mafia. Appreciate the focus on the family which makes it uniquely tense. But some moments are rushed and undeveloped, taking away its potential. Driver outstanding though. #LFF #PaperTiger

Martin McDonagh in fine form. Dark and funny, this was such an enjoyable treat. Very much in the vein of my favourite McDonagh film (In Bruges) with Malkovich having a blast. Rockwell shines but shout out to Steve Buscemi who has the line reading of the year 😂. #WildHorseNine #LFF

Ken Russell’s THE DEVILS: Finally being shown as intended, after decades of censorship. And it is an extraordinary piece of filmmaking.

My first #LFF2026 review for Cinematic Sense…
