Thanks for the chat! Fun to play in. I'm open for editing gigs, so if anyone's interested, please reach out to me. #TBBChat

A4. Absolutely! Especially if I've been with a cast of characters for a while and love the world I created -- leaving always makes me a lil sad. Likewise, you often get better at writing after finishing a project, so you have to resist the urge to rewrite it all once you're done lol

Thank you for the chat! I have a novella coming out on October 6th!
Check out The Witch of the Wood if you like spooky forests, curses, witches, and MM romance!

Thanks for hosting, @vampireantihero.com! Such a fun theme 💙

I’m preparing to bring REMNANT, my sci-fi novel full of mechs, aliens, monsters, and one very sarcastic protagonist, into the world.

If that sounds like your kind of trouble, check it out:

A3. Adding all the self-indulgent things I can into a WIP (as is most relevant). It's fun to have my specific tastes all in one place and being able to write it w/ little oversight. TSBH aims to be a webserial, so learning how to pace that has been fun as well

I don't miss the way The Wine-Dark Sea burnt me out when I finished writing it but I do rotate the blorbos in my head very often. Which you can, too, if you want:

A fuck i got distracted. Sometimes! I think I miss mostly the characters, less so the act of working on it. I'm pretty relieved once it's finished and no longer hanging over my head.

A2. HONESTLY, SOMEONE PLEASE TELL //ME// -- but when writing novels esp, I read other novels and break down their craft to see where they start. For the TSBH, I'm leaning on the novels THE COUNT OF MONTE CRISTO & LOVE IN THE TIME OF CHOLERA. Maybe they'll teach me about starting #TBBChat

#TBBChat Q4

Well, it's the characters! By the time I've finished the story, I've become so invested in the characters' lives and emotions that I'll miss writing their story!
It's why I keep writing shorts for Sweet & Wild, I miss Micah and Terran! (I'll do the same for Dandelions, promise!)

I'm starting up author newsletters again after taking a hiatus last month, and my next one is coming to inboxes this Tuesday, September 8th! 📨
