#WSocial seems to have made many missteps. But they also got some big ideas right that Eurosky should consider.

A social network where users have to prove their identity (like you do with your bank) is a good thing IMO. Obviously that identity does not have to be public facing.

Given the above any attacks of #WSocial client is in effect an attack on any other client as well ( #EuroXitter/sky ). So accounts are showing the weakness of 'AT Protocol' in relation to EU regulations?

Not only bots, but persons on other ATprotocol networks. If #Wsocial was not a success they wouldn’t bother. 😎

Except: I don't think #WSocial 's users understood that granting permission to have their real names, nationalities and approx. dates of birth displayed *INSIDE* W Social would actually expose the information to the WORLD WIDE WEB because it's all #OpenData

#WSocial’s advice here is TERRIBLE - deleting your account won’t change a thing.

Just now I found the record of a minor (15yo) who was verified by #WIdentity. His account status is now “taken down” but his full name, nationality and approx. date of birth are still visible on W's verification list!

Dear #WSocial verified users, who had your account verified after 16-09-2026: if you are not comfortable with your full name, nationality and approx. age being shared *outside* of W, on the open web, please DO NOT delete your account. You need to file a proper right of deletion request instead

#Wsocial violates EU law on a daily basis. Your doxxing of users violates the #GPDR and the way you contradict yourself on your own website will for sure trigger some regulators to look into this!
