#WordWeavers 5/10: If your characters had to swap lives for a week, which pairing would create the most chaos?

I think the Mansion staff had better stick to their jobs. The brain is incredibly malleable, and regions can, in some cases, adapt to perform functions they weren't originally assigned […]

Possibly Torvyn and Gafeira: Torvyn would probably do okay as an assistant mountain guide, but Gafeira would…

What is your MC's most irrational fear?

#WordWeavers 4/10: What is your MC's most irrational fear? Where did it come from?
I don’t think Jerya has any really irrational fears. There’s plenty to be concerned about without cluttering her mind with irrational stuff.

#WordWeavers 3 Oct: Share a line from your WIP that foreshadows something important without giving it away.

“Ha!” His laugh was not cruel, but definitely incredulous. “Do you maybe have a magic wand?”
“I’m serious,” she said. “I think I can do it.”
He looked at her appraisingly. “You really do […]

#WordWeavers Oct 3: Share a line from your WIP that foreshadows something important without giving it away.

The monk had his hand on the man's chest and mumbled, apparently offering prayers for the departed. He stood, finally, re-straightening the boshiya to keep his face properly covered […]

The problem with a Gift from the Gods is that you can't return it.

#WordWeavers 2. Which character knows your MC better than your MC knows themselves?

That is a hard question because the MC doesn't know themselves as good as they think they do, and almost everyone in The Mansion know them very well. I'm almost inclined to say 'Who doesn't know them better than […]

#WordWeavers 3/10: Share a line from your WIP that foreshadows something important without giving it away.
This is the first appearance of a character who will become more significant, much deeper into the book.

He followed her along a couple of short passages. She talked over her shoulder. “I’m a medical student. Working here over the summer, for experience, then back for my final year.”
“That would be at Velyadero, then?” It was the only University that admitted females. Jerya of Skilthorn had something to do with it, he was sure.
“Yes. We’ll be the first to qualify…” She broke off, pushing open a door. “Here we are.”

I've had radio shows, a stage play, and a number of video games produced. Poetry published.

#WordWeavers 10/2: Other than novels, what types of writing do you do, such as poetry, screen plays, etc?

I don't write novels (yet?), but I do write flash fiction/nonfiction, pop culture reviews, songs, and essays. A spec screenplay for a Hallmark-style holiday movie is on my "next" list […]

#WordWeavers 02 October: Other than novels, what types of writing do you do, such as poetry, screen plays, etc

Flash fiction, short stories, novellas, comic strips, a graphic novel, a stage play, poems, and song lyrics.

Some of it quite unpublishable.

#WordWeavers 02 Other than novels, what types of writing do you do, such as poetry, screen plays, etc?

#WordWeavers 9/30: What stereotypes do your MCs deal with in their world?

This one made me realise that my MC doesn't really deal with stereotypes in the conventional sense.

The Mansion is populated by personified brain functions, so everyone has very strong expectations about everyone else's […]
