#watchingtonight: Deadwood. Brad Dourif just makes everything more fun. Cuckoos Nest, Tales From the Crypt, the Two Towers, the X Files…he makes demented seem fun. And that one series he did…oh, what was it?

I don’t remember but I hear he’s an absolute DOLL to work with 😁 #horror

I KNEW POWERS BOOTHE WAS CURLY IN TOMBSTONE!!!! WHO SAYS I DIDN’T?!? WHOM AMONG YOU SLANDERS MY NAME?!?!?

S—-SHUT UP!!!!

#Deadwood #watchingtonight

You gotta love vintage Pacino. John Cazale was scary talented and we get Chris “I’m so tired of Halloweentown” Sarandon in an ahead-of-it’s-time transgender role played with respect and dignity. Yes, he’s a cis actor but still, for what it’s worth… #watchingtonight #movies

I love Monk, Psych, Clouseau, My Life is Murder and Columbo…but they all pale in comparison to the class and wit of the Thin Man. Myrna Loy and William Powell are AMAZING as Nick and Nora, sleuths whose blood is at least 150% proof alcohol. #watchingtonight #movies

Busy day today what with the doggy-doo going to the groomer (he’s such a good boy!) but it got me a chance to wander downtown then come home and get an audition recorded. #watchingtonight: Full Metal Jacket. I wouldn’t last in boot camp and I’m okay with that. #movies #filmsky

#watchingtonight My Big Fat Greek Wedding. My rule on romcoms is they have to be equal parts rom and com. I like how the guy is a legit good man, not a “nice guy.” I like how Toula changes herself for herself and not for him. All the jokes land and the family feels very real. #movies

#watchingtonight: Dark City. Yes, I prefer this to the Matrix (sorry, Keanu.) The effects and action sequences serve the story rather than the other way around. The acting across the board is terrific and the mix of #scifi and classic noir make for a fun and philosophical ride. “SHUT IT DOWN!!!”

Continuing my #Deadwood binge (first time watching) and—-OHAI, voice of Chucky! Brad Dourif is like the American Tim Curry. Just so much fun to watch.

Seriously, though, is EVERYONE in this show? Am I in this fucking show?!? #watchingtonight

Also added to my DVD collection: Everything Everywhere All At Once. This #movie is proof that you can work in Hollywood and BE ORIGINAL. The bond between the mother and daughter is so beautiful and well done. Michelle Yeoh rules on so many levels. #watchingtonight #filmsky

#watchingtonight: Sinners. I added this to my DVD collection. “Blues wasn't forced on us like that religion. Nah, son, we brought that with us from home. It's magic what we do. It's sacred... and big.” I’ve been getting into blues music from that era and Delta Slim is right. #filmsky #musicsky

If there’s no wood that’s actually dead in #Deadwood, I will be VERY disappointed. Wood that’s is dying will also be acceptable. And please tell me that Jeffery the pedo Jones has a small role.

And…IS THAT LASSIE FROM PSYCH?!? I just got that one too. HE’S EVERYWHERE!!!!!! #watchingtonight

If you’re going to talk #movies with great dialogue, you almost have to go noir. For my money, the best movie conversation happens between Holly Martins (Joseph Cotten) and the villainous Harry Lime (a devilish Orson Wells) aboard a ferris wheel. #filmsky #watchingtonight

Okay, gonna say it: if #TimBurton ever returns to the superhero genre I think we all know which caped crusader he needs to bring to the big screen. Darkwing Duck is right up his alley I tells ya! #watchingtonight

#watchingtonight: Jurassic Park. It’s amazing how well this #movie holds up. Sam Neils stubborn, curmudgeonly but ultimately likable Grant melds well with Laura Derns upbeat attitude and Jeff Goldblums jokiness. Too bad the JW series sacrificed character development for spectacle #filmsky
