Of course, Ataru is out like a light and didn't get no studying done as we head to the next day where Ataru and the other Stormtroopers try to figure out how to NOT get screwed. #UruseiYatsura

Well, Ataru gets a deal: He comes in first in ANY subject during the exams, Shinobu will go out on a date with him.
...but Ryuu brings up a good point: What if she just gave him the motivation?
Again...this would work if this was earlier...which is was...in the manga. #UruseiYatsura
Shinobu (The real one) drops a bomb: If Ataru flunks the upcoming exam, he has to make it up on Monday...and if he flunks that...
The problem with seeing Ataru's fantasy this late in the game is...well...the first half of UY was "How to ditch the alien to get my actual crush that also loves me."
We're in the half where Shinobu realized Ataru's an asshole...and that he...kinda...moved on too. #UruseiYatsura
Yeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh...I don't know if it was in their contract to have to adapt everything before concluding, but considering this late in the game, Shinobu moved on to Mendou and Ataru was...kinda...okay with it... #UruseiYatsura
We open with Lum already pissed off because Ataru ditched her while they went on a "Date."
I say "Date" because 9 times out of 10 she's the that forces it.
We then see what's obviously Ataru's fantasy involving Shinobu. #UruseiYatsura
Up next, we're jumping to winter as something seems odd about Ataru..."Ataru Wants to Go on a date! Operation Examination!" #UruseiYatsura
I still maintain my favorite episode of UY of all time is when the class had to be dead silent for half of it and Ten's doing his usual antics. #UruseiYatsura
This ep was...fine...it's a Ten ep and I'm not gonna give it high marks. If Ten's character was more like how they made him towards the end of this anime as the series went on...maybe? Ten's best use is an antagonist or the excuse to make the ep an experiment. #UruseiYatsura
Ten opens his umbrella, and the dream that comes true is a giant foot that crushes the house...because the fairy was literal, as that's how Ten's dream ended last night.
...I can't be the only one that thinks the punchline would've worked if Ataru was under it... #UruseiYatsura
The Fairy gives Ten an umbrella to make his dream come true when he opens it and...yeah, I give Ten (Deserved) grief, but I like that he gave the umbrella back without thought about what he can do with it or staying in the dreamworld. I just wish the rest of the anime reflected that. #UruseiYatsura
So...I think we're in a friendlier and kiddier version of either Beautiful Dreamer or the eps that tied into Beautiful Dreamer, as Ten is not only in a world made by kids' dreams, but they have stuff that can observe kids and know what dreams they can make. #UruseiYatsura
But all dreams have to dome to an end and after Ten plays superhero, he sees the fairy needs that umbrella ASAP as he's dying...uh...right outta nowhere...and he gives the umbrella back without a second thought. #UruseiYatsura
Ten lands in the puddle world and it turns out it's his dream world where he gets to play with a girl his own age that he seems to have a crush on.
Ok, I'll admit, after seeing all the abuse Ten gets in this ep (Which a lot even for me), I'm happy he gets a break. #UruseiYatsura
Ataru hits Ten, but luck of all lucks, it gets him into the portal and Ataru...can't follow because he doesn't have the umbrella.
Ok, I admit, I thought they'd stretch things out a bit more, so the landing was funny. #UruseiYatsura
What's even funnier is the 2008 30th Anniversary OVA adapted parts of this volume too, so they were STILL making new animation from this volume!
(I know I haven't talked about tonight's episode but it's Ten so I DO NOT CARE!)

Then I recall 3 and Final and realize "Wow, the team really didn't like working on that show for so long." #UruseiYatsura
We're in the home stretch (3 eps left on this disc than the final disc) of the TV series) and the more I see these eps and the more I recall A-Ko 1 and 2, the more I realize we're just seeing the team going through the motions. #UruseiYatsura
How else would you explain that the A-Ko and B-Ko, right the fuck outta nowhere, went from a one sided feud over C-Ko, with really good comedy from A-Ko's responses to that, to a fight over a man that turned both women into catty horrible people? #UruseiYatsura
A-Ko 3 and A-Ko Final had that out of control romance plot come out of nowhere as the staff's last take that towards their final time at #UruseiYatsura. Everything from the set up, the punchline, and even dynamics that hurt the characters' development and personalities were all one big FU.
