Skylar: The ALCEFS doesn't have seasons. But I do love Thanksgiving with my family! That used to be associated with the fall back in the day, didn't it?

#MiwwduSitsomSelkieWIP: Michaela's is absolutely Halloween! She's going to have the best costume!

#ThroughTheCracks: Skylar's sister Aspen has both a husband and a wife. I don't know if I decided how she prefers to describe herself.

Rather, what she means is that she's just witnessed what's about to happen to me and knows that it'll work out at least acceptably well. But she didn't have any idea of it until moments ago.

#ThroughTheCracks: With Skylar, I'm pretty confident.

I was also considering including some Meg flashbacks to her life before.

#ThroughTheCracks is in Skylar's point of view so far, but because it's in third person, I may be more open to changing points of view, although I don't have any plans for this at the moment.

And they may wonder why she carries around the Alphabet Board, when a whiteboard or some such would be so much easier to use, and Harriet might even have one on hand.

#ThroughTheCracks: I think most people would come away thinking Skylar is really nice.

#ThroughTheCracks: Skylar has never seen the ocean. Except the faint blueness of the Earth in the sky, or perhaps in more detail with a telescope.

There is no ocean on the stations of the ALCEFS. Pools, yes. Maybe even imitation beaches with saltwater wave pools. But no true ocean.

#ThroughTheCracks: Skylar was blessed to grow up in the ALCEFS, and have a rather happy life, at that. They've never really encountered much sadness.

I don't know that what's coming for them will be sadness so much as indignation. But we'll see.

#TheDragonblood: The oceans are home to merfolk. Otherwise, the contents of the oceans are pretty standard as far as I've decided.

#ThroughTheCracks: Earth's oceans have taken a hit, and are home to much less diversity of species.

#InReverse: Give Meg a hug! Her life's been literally turned upside down, and now she has to figure out a completely different way of living and can't go back.

#ThroughTheCracks: Nelly might use a hug. She's just trying to avoid forgetting herself.

Luis, Skylar's brother-in-law, too.

#ThroughTheCracks: I could certainly see Madison receiving some punches.

And of course, our antagonists, Kye and Erron, are always on the board.

#MiwwduSitsomSelkieWIP: Dave and Michaela's dad could easily deserve something.

#ThroughTheCracks: We've got a rivalry between Kye and Erron, our two antagonists. Well, maybe mostly one sided. Erron disagrees with Kye's philosophy and with his dealings.

I mean, Nemoria literally uses magic as its currency.

#ThroughTheCracks: Agriculture in the ALCEFS happens on, well, the agricultural layer of the stations, which is not humanly accessible. Lots of crops are grown under artificial sunlight in industrial quantities and cultivated robotically.

#ThroughTheCracks: Time for Kye to enjoy some alone time at his mansion in his personal competition-sized swimming pool!

#ThroughTheCracks: Cultured meat exists to some extent IRL, but there've been many more advancements and there's much more diversity in the ALCEFS, and cultured eggs and dairy are also a thing.

"Let the people who have actual magic they need to replenish and will actually benefit from eating the fiddleheads have them."

#ThroughTheCracks: Slaughtering animals for food is not considered acceptable behaviour in the ALCEFS.

Harriet: After that, it's done.

Skylar: The horrors of history like homelessness no longer happen in the ALCEFS.

Dave: It's normal for clothes to fit, no matter the size.

Michaela: If my costumes are realistic, it's just because they're well-made.

Nemoria also has domestic mammoths, which might be an additional source of meat and/or dairy.

#ThroughTheCracks: The ALCEFS produces a lot of meat, but it is all cultured meat. They likely also have some similar way of producing animal byproducts like eggs and dairy.

#ThroughTheCracks: I have one vegetarian character here, too, Madison. All meat is cultured in the ALCEFS, and the only reason Madison doesn't eat meat is because he doesn't like the taste.

A wide variety of plants are cultivated in the ALCEFS, but a few may have gone extinct by this time.

Meg is now muttering to herself, "remember, don't go near a mess" on repeat.

#ThroughTheCracks: We'd have to change 'store' to something else, but in any case, Skylar politely apologises and says "No worries, I've got this." and starts picking up the fruit.

Aimetor might also turn to the gods, in prayer. Or they might contact one of their partners, depending on the situation.

#InReverse: Meg and Harriet m rely on each other.

#ThroughTheCracks: Hm, good question; who would Skylar turn to? Maybe just send a general distress signal?
