However running down the train at the end had no drama, eg Tonto suddenly has recruited lots of helpers!

I like the hive of villainy town with all the gambling joints. Again the world building and characters are fun but there's no real drama that TLR's scheme won't succeed. It's a very one string plan too.

The eps are often an interesting slice of Western life even though I'm unsure how true they are historically. TLR gets involved quite late in some eps and such eps are often the better for it.

Quiet a clever, self contained story. There was quite a bit of farce in the setup which was also in the denouement so that gave the ep a good symmetry. I liked the greater awareness in the world building.

I don't believe that the eps online are complete. Eg: Lynn Roberts scarcely gets a line of dialog. Even her maid gets more close ups. The spoken audio is a bit of a disaster. These files must have been butchered over decades? Do decent copies even exist?

I do quite enjoy the first 24' of the 30' but as soon as The Lone Ranger plans his crazy take down of the week I sort of lose focus as you know it'll be a success.

While the show can do wide ranging large scale scale stories when it wants to it's never going to deliver taut plotted drama. But where it succeeds is how it promotes the in universe mythology of the Ranger.

The existing video online is 14'55" but Wiki says it's 17'. I can well believe there are 2 minutes chopped out and all the 14'55" files online are from the same edited source. The serial is missing dialog so maybe that's what's cut?

I'm still unclear where the now four rangers came from? They aren't the ones who were murdered in Serial #1 so are they unofficial rangers? If so why are they even referred to as Texas Rangers?

These are a fun listen but the plots are loose even amorphous. So there's no drama generated, eg: here once TLR forms the posse the ep just marks time as the inevitable win takes place eventually.
