when #terriblecomictuesday strikes, i let my instinct guide me. today my instinct wanted to draw a guy on fire again, lol

a four panel comic with simple circle faces panel 1: a blue guy asks "what about blue?" and another blue person responds "sure. panel 2: now square and teal, the top person asks "teal, and square?" to which the second person responds "not bad." panel 3: now black, the first person asks "what about fire again?" and the second person is on fire screaming "NOOOOOOO" panel 4: first person asks "too soon?" while the second person, no longer on fire and visibly charred, confirms "too soon.

The text reads: "I feel like I'm not allowed to exist or around people unless I'm being a productive member of society. On a good brain day the consequence can be mild embarrassment. I can live with that. On a bad day the penalty can be severe. So much so that even socializing online is a risk. God will punish me first; and then everyone I care about and know; and then everyone. If I don't get the lesson then more people will be hurt more severely until I stop messing up. These delusions only hold for part of the time, but when they take hold they occupy my mind as absolute truths. I'm told that there's a way to get fixed by doing the work. With the work looking a lot like being a productive member of society. Yes, cool, I want that. I keep pushing for that. And then when I meltdown or when I break I try to keep it hidden. Because all of me was taught not to bother others with emotions, to keep the emotions hidden away so as not to be a bother. My brain knows that the mask will keep cracking, but I also can only get help if I keep masking up."

Yesterday's #TerribleComicTuesday that I felt too embarrassed to post.

The downswing of my mood makes everything more challenging to navigate ughhhh.

For reals, a terrible comic for #TerribleComicTuesday. The urge to try to spiff it up is very strong. But no.

Also, I am constitutionally incapable of drawing a good wheeled vehicle. They are my nemesises!

So I will hide my weakness under the guise of a purposefully terrible comic.

Clever girl.

Devil Girl and Moon Dinosaur (Don'tSueMeDisney) First panel: Two balaclava'd I.C.E. agents sit in a vehicle, probably being bigots or sex pests or some such. There is a thump on the roof. Second panel: Devil Girl's face appears upsidedown outside the SUV, hands on the windshield. She gives a cheerful "Hi, dummies!" She has two big forehead horns, long white hair, and would be red if this were in color. Panel three: Outside the van, we see Devil Girl kneeling on the SUV, staring at the I.C.E. guys. "Do you know," she asks, "what they call it when a dinosaur sees an I.C.E. truck?" This is, what they call in the jocularity business, a set up. Panel four: We see the two I.C.E. jerks turn to each other and shrug. You might ask how, in the brief 4 panels thus far, are we supposed to know these guys are actual jerks? Gentle reader, they are wearing I.C E. regalia. This is a giveaway if the highest order Panel five: The punchline, the inevitable rejoinder to the aforementioned set up, is revealed: "A Tyrannosaurus Wrecks!" Hahahahahaha hahahahaha. Visually, we have Moon Dinosaur, a tremendous theropod, crunching on the front driver's tire with his toothy maw, lifting the I.C.E. car from the ground, preparing for the smooshing of this vehicle. A small circle--let's call it panel five--features Devil Girl's smiling face, and she says, in closing, "Actually, he's a Moon Allosaurus." And that's it. That's the terrible comic! Okay! I love you! Bye!

An entry into today’s Terrible Comic Tuesday. A scribble three-panel comic modestly titled. “Horror Triple Feature” Panel 1 shows a figure dominated by a hovering washer and dryer and scattering clothes, with the legend: ‘…until there was nothing left to wear. “THE BLUE MONDAY”’ Panel 2 is a pastiche on the poster for John Carpenter’s The Thing, only the parka-draped figure with the glowing head is holding an obscure version of the comic in front of it.
