@digiranma.bsky.socialBatou gives the Major her watch from the OG safe house and the two talk about what's next...while 500 ships go off in the distance. #GhostInTheShell #StandAloneComplex
@ochan35.bsky.social"Wait right here until we get back okay?"
I'm having burning Going Merry flashbacks!
#GhostInTheShell #StandAloneComplex #Episode25 #AnimeRetroRewatch @digiranma.bsky.social
@digiranma.bsky.socialTurns out the Major has a new body...the little boy's body that followed the one Tachikoma that started all of this a few eps back. This whole thing made her realize one thing: They acquired ghosts...aka souls. #GhostInTheShell #StandAloneComplex
@digiranma.bsky.social"SHOOT NOW!" The main Tachikoma's ready to attack...BUT THE OLD AMMO IS A DUD! The Major from somewhere, an angel statue so...subtle...tells the team to keep fighting...and with one last tear...the team of tanks sacrifice themselves for Batou. #GhostInTheShell #StandAloneComplex
@ochan35.bsky.social"I had to hack your eyes pal!"
This should not turn me on...but it did.
#GhostInTheShell #StandAloneComplex #Episode25 #AnimeRetroRewatch @digiranma.bsky.social
@digiranma.bsky.socialWell, just before the mech suit guy can do the deed...
...allowing the Tachikomas to rescue Batou...as they get mowed down one...by...one... #GhostInTheShell #StandAloneComplex
@ochan35.bsky.social"They were lucky enough to experience death..."
Um...it is amazing how that Tachikoma episode REALLY came into play with this finale!
#GhostInTheShell #StandAloneComplex #Episode25 #AnimeRetroRewatch @digiranma.bsky.social
@digiranma.bsky.socialJust as it looks like Batou got what he needed...turns out there was another mech suit waiting in the woods...and it got one clean shot in... #GhostInTheShell #StandAloneComplex
@digiranma.bsky.social"I knew the Major would have a stash around here!" (Sees where the stash is) ...guys, half of this is still Masamune Shirow. #GhostInTheShell #StandAloneComplex
@digiranma.bsky.socialOver at the safe house, Batou goes in to see if either the Major's there or if he can get anything of use...and that's when the goons strike...not realizing the Major Home Aloned the place. #GhostInTheShell #StandAloneComplex
@digiranma.bsky.social@ochan35.bsky.social"The illusion of social justice" line REALLY sends me because considering the position the US is in now it's funny how anime called a lot of shit out DECADES beforehand!
#GhostInTheShell #StandAloneComplex #Episode25 #AnimeRetroRewatch @digiranma.bsky.social
@digiranma.bsky.socialThe Tachikoma goes to the remains of the base and not only finds Batou left natural oil for 'em just in case...but two other Tachikomas, as all three of them have one thought: HELP BATOU! #GhostInTheShell #StandAloneComplex
@digiranma.bsky.socialBack with the Tachikoma taking care of the old people and it's worried about section 9...but one of the old guys, who was a soldier, talks with it...and gives it a certain tool for the job... #GhostInTheShell #StandAloneComplex
@digiranma.bsky.socialAramaki is fine with the whole "Wait until the election" plan...under one condition: The team he supposedly threw under the bus? That's section 9, it's them or nothing. #GhostInTheShell #StandAloneComplex
@digiranma.bsky.socialBut...gosh darn it, we gotta wait for those pesky elections! Tell ya what we're gonna do, we're gonna work with the guy until the votes come in, then we'll reveal his dirty deeds and make the public THINK they were heard, how about that? #GhostInTheShell #StandAloneComplex
@digiranma.bsky.socialWe open with Batou looking over at a safe house and waiting for The Major (Again, be as loyal as a Batou) as we see Aramaki is out and about walking and the Ministry of Justice ubering him for a ride and trying to get Section 9 back together. #GhostInTheShell #StandAloneComplex
@digiranma.bsky.socialUp next, team's been thrown under the bus, most of 'em captured, and the HQ blowned up.
Good thing they got friends in various places... "Smoke of Gunpowder, Hail of Bullets – BARRAGE" #GhostInTheShell #StandAloneComplex
@digiranma.bsky.socialOf course, we get the Tachikoma short and we get another life cycle of the tanks. #GhostInTheShell #StandAloneComplex
@digiranma.bsky.socialI've seen this show several times, so I know what's coming...but at the same time, a fan of the franchise, I know these characters already so I already know there's more than what I just saw. Maybe a newcomer would go "WHAT!?" but most wouldn't. #GhostInTheShell #StandAloneComplex
