This fan-made Shenmue remake trailer made by LanDC, a well-respected, popular member of the Shenmue community for the longest time shows that Shenmue as a brand and IP still has a market and demand.
It should be noted that this has AI.
The new cover for Shenmue3Enhanced really made me realize that if this had been the main cover art for the original release of Shenmue 3 in 2019, the initial perception would have still been the same, but the game wouldn't have been seen a half-job of a product.
Ryo's arrival at the New Yokosuka Harbor marks a shift in Shenmue's narrative, where it takes the 18 year old pursuer of justice and vengance against Lan Di for the murder of father, and places him in the unfamiliar setting of the NYH.
Anyan Li and Takashi Takashiro have a really strong resemblance with each other in both appearance, look, and just the clothing they wear.
They could easily be mistaken for each other.
The Blue Spiders were threatening Bailu Village and it's residents to find the mirrors, and not one martial artist in the entire locality doesn't stand to try and fight them, or at least be brave enough to try.
Yanlang being a part of the plan for Shenmue's story since 1997 gives me so much joy, knowing that he had potential, but the limitations of the Kickstarter, coupled with the budget reasons made him a half-baked version of what could have been.

Ryo and Lan Di have one of the most interesting rivalries in all of gaming! They are both people who were shaped by loss, trauma, grief, and turmoil, but chose to approach it differently.
Lan Di and Niao Sun can be seen in the 2017 Shenmue 3 teaser trailer that was shown off at Gamescom, and this was most likely a easter egg for the hardcore Shenmue community.
Shiling's backstory thats revealed in her character bio on the Japanese website of Shenmue 3 is so interesting to think about, because it shows how a lot of content was cut from Shenmue 3 and it affected so much of the game.
Reclaiming The Path is Shenmue 3 but how it was always meant to be experienced as if it was allowed to happen back on the Dreamcast. That final stretch with Ryo fighting Lan Di in the Old Castle at Niaowu was pure perfection.

This Shenmue screenshot of Ryo and Shenhua is probably the best they've ever appeared ever.
Shenmue 3 really had some beautiful and breathtaking shots that showcased despite the budgetary and development limitations, it came off looking strikingly amazing, along with just being surprisingly well made for an independently developed game.
Ryo's journey not only continued in Shenmue 3, but the mystery got much more deeper and the path to finding Lan Di, the story about the mirrors, his father's past with Zhao Sunming, and looking for Yunshen Yuan (Shenhua's father) all became a web of clues.
Shenmue 2 was released 25 years ago today on Sept. 6, 2001 and took the Shenmue series to new heights! The story expanded to new heights, the world was much larger and more expansive, Ryo's journey was much more louder and chaotic.
