We don’t get the Saban music, but we do keep his stepdaughter as Yolei’s VA

Yeah definitely answered my question why she was in every bloody Saban production back in the day

As appropriate for a movie from 02 we start with the dubbed Frontier theme accompanying very familiar jellyfish going across the net sending weird emails of our heroes to find them

Uh oh

I never did call this out but it's funny how these newer dubs tried to match the "era" of what the dub was doing. Hence this movie is WAY more jokey while when we hit the Tamers movies the dub jokes are more subversive

Izzy seems SO ecstatic that Mimi FINALLY gets proper screentime!

I should not have found this dub exchange between Angemon and Angewomon as funny as I did! 😂😂😂

I freaking remember that CD cover to the AiM single for this movie!

Also guys this is NOT directed by Mamoru Hosoda despite mimicking the visual style he used for Our War Game. Also in Japan this was a double feature with the SECOND One Piece Movie!

It's so interesting that these movies continually find ways to bench Sora in one way or another, thank goodness they didn't do this in Tri.

All the voices are the original recordings but anyone who wasn’t available in the 2005 dub, Discotek fixed in the 2025 dub! So Tai, Hawkmon, Patamon and Gabumon all have their proper dub VAs!

All these movies were dubbed after Digimon Frontier so they all have the instrumental version of that opening playing over what would be the movie's corresponding OPs in Japanese.

So BASICALLY I'm copying and posting my #SocksOnTheShelf coverage of this movie from earlier in the year!
The 4th Movie and the (at the time) final Adventure continuity movie!
