JobSeeker is confirmed as a causative factor in approximately 3,000 deaths/yr. People cannot survive abject poverty. There is no reason to kill people who we know due to inflation the RBA need unemployed. #auspol #RaiseTheRate @jimchalmers.bsky.social #PovertyKills

All unemployment pensions should be brought to the same basic level above the poverty line, and restrictions based on partnership need to be abolished.

"Poverty kills...Raising the level of jobseeker would save thousands of lives."

And @grogsgamut.bsky.social has the figures to prove it.

I'll be more direct.
By failing to #RaiseTheRate, our government is killing people.

For "no-one left behind" Albo, this is inexcusable negligence. #auspol

@bababooie42.bsky.socialSep 14, 2026, 9:38 PM

All unemployment pensions need to be raised above the poverty line, and limits based on partner's income need to be scrapped.

Too many Australians have already committed suicide or been killed by those close to them because of how cruelly little they are afforded.

Arbitrary, vicious cuts to life-saving services for #NDIS and #agedcare recipients. Failure to #RaiseTheRate.

But private companies who run human services - and fossil fuels, gambling, defence... - get royal treatment.

Tell us again, @albomp.bsky.social, about who you won't leave behind? #auspol
