Pretty okay. I'm in the trenches of revising/editing some challenging scenes which is...well, challenging.

It's also getting to the dark time here which 🫤

But I also got out for a hike on an absolutely perfect day with a friend and our dogs so one of my month goals ✅

I didn't write as much as I wanted to, but I DID do a finished piece of art (which will get revealed later in the month) and I made the BYMMS book trailer! So overall a success, I'd say.

I had a good week overall. I finished drafting Hunted and Called on Monday and later in the week pulled out my old notes with Elisabeti to start going over and prepping to start writing soon.

I think its been a decent week! In total I think I've written 1000 words for Fire on the Horizon & made some progress with overarching narrative ideas. I also managed to write a little for my zine *AND* maybeee a short story 👀

I had an unexpected short story writing excursion that I'm not sure what to do with, but I'm otherwise still prepping for a November write-a-thon. Otherwise, a pretty busy week with real life stuff!

#lgbtqwriteathon writing itself is a bit slow but i've been coming up with coming up with ideas and solving puzzles before i write them i never really do any planning but this book is different from the others! the characters are risky. all of them lol so i have to get it right.

I'm near enough to the end of this project that I can actually make the deadline!

I was locking up, but on a whim I broke up all the tasks for the day, put them on an internet wheel, and whatever it landed on, that's what I did.

This week I made a video unpacking the Writing of Complicated Books! At first I thought "I bet I could come up with 10 or 20 points," then I suffered self-doubt "What if I only have 4 ideas?," then I rattled off 100 on camera.

Most of my energy went into that, my b-day, and getting used to the book being out in the world.
I did some planning too, but “published a book” absolutely counts as this week’s progress.
