137) Mobile Suit Gundam SEED: Battle Assault

I don’t know too much about the Gundam series but I really liked this fighting game. The core gameplay is both simplistic and fun to use as you use different weapons and skills.

@polykillpodcast.bsky.social #justbeatit Pato Box (switch) punch-out style game with a black and white aesthetic. Adds in rudimentary platforming to mix things up. I really enjoyed the story mode, fights were challenging and leaned heavy into puzzle mechanics. Very enjoyable playthrough 7.5/10

Well Dweller is nothing short of a masterpiece.

The art style is incredible, the gameplay is fluid and just challenging enough, plus the 100% is worthwhile and a lot of fun. Also, one of the best OSTs of the year.

136) Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix

After about 10 years on the shelf I was able to finally able to beat the final boss and beat this game. All these years later the game is still great and is probably my favourite of the Kingdom Hearts side games.

#JustBeatIt @polykillpodcast.bsky.social No.149 Mystic Pathways (NSW). Flip and exchange tiles to create a path. These kinds of puzzle games are a dime a dozen, but that doesn't mean they aren't fun. The esthetic is nice and, except for the final five stages, isn't too tough. A little buggy, though.

Klonoa 2 was fun. The way they did 3d backgrounds with 2d platforming followed by 3d sections was interesting. The final set of levels tested my patience and made it rough but managed to get the beat in the end. Music was also great. It's a 4/5. @polykillpodcast.bsky.social #justbeatit

#JustBeatIt @polykillpodcast.bsky.social No.148 Lunar 2: Eternal Blue (PS1). The music and graphics are excellent, but the battles are very, very slow, which is very annoying. However, the story is pretty good and the characters are very charming, making this a worthwile time for sure. Check it out!

#justbeatit X-Men Mutant Wars. This Game Boy Color game has some great things, like amazing music, and the ability to swap X-Men on the fly, but all the good is overshadowed by bad controls and annoying enemies. Still worth a playthrough if you are a fan of the mutants @polykillpodcast.bsky.social

This was a pretty decent puzzle game. There’s not really much to this one as your just stacking blocks but it does has calming vibe to it that makes you feel relaxed.

Simplistic game where you’re looking for keys and doing fetch quests in a very nonsensical labyrinthian building with a lot of backrooms. Very hard to navigate but has quite a lot of story to tell. Wouldn’t have beaten it without a walkthrough.

134) Venom/Spider-Man: Separation Anxiety (Genesis)

I will say that the overall visuals look a lot nicer on this port than the SNES port but other than that this one felt just as monotonous to go through as the other port.

#justbeatit Forbidden Solitaire. You play through a dungeon and beat encounters by playing a solitaire like game. The game becomes a little more than this with some upgrades as the game slowly becomes more haunted. Not much to chew on beyond this @polykillpodcast.bsky.social

133) Looney Tunes: Space Race

I had a lot of fun with this racing game. This one has a pretty solid roster of iconic Looney Tunes characters and it has a great soundtrack. While there is little bit of jank with the racing it’s overall a really good game.
