Water: Much smokier. Burning papers in metal incinerator, burnt pigs in blankets, chai in earthenware mug, steamed spinach, duck jerky, leaked ink pen on polyester shirt, minestrone soup, ricotta-filled ravioli with sage butter. Smoky cheese fondue, warm sausage roll & burnt bacon finish #JuraWhisky

One the palate for the 12 year old 46% - Spicy, very spicy, then sour. Before sweet toffee kicks in with fruit notes bouncing between peaches, blue plums, and tangerines. A tickle of frothy cappucino. Spice subsides into finish.

Jura 16 43%: On the palate: There's a sweetness present that the 12 lacked. White pepper and cooking spices, salted caramel ice cream, oodles of dark honey, marmalade and a touch of key lime pie. Really rich mouth feel. Finish is medium with a lovely spiciness that isn't harsh at all. #JuraWhisky

Dram 3: 12yrs Sherry cask finish 46% abv

Nose: chocolate, mocha, chocolate coated kirsch cherries, grapefruit right at back of nose, snapped Cotinus branches at front. Back of hand gives soft, floral, tinned gooseberries. Longer time in glass, pecan nut.

Colour of apple juice, nose is so Christmassy with Christmas cake, dark chocolate brandy truffles, beeswax candles burning in a pewter candlestick on an oak mantelpiece with festive greenery, menthol, Assam tea, and a velvet smoking jacket with a lit pipe with cherry tobacco #JuraWhisky
