When you play too much The Legend of Zelda, but you have a smallsword class. Sound on!

A delightfully focused Girard Thibault session.

Verdadera Destreza techniques outside the arm, followed by happy freeplay.

I got quoted 😂

For context, we were discussing safety in and how to get the most out of drills in the Longsword and sword in one hand class.

But this made me giggle. Thanks Simon.☺️

This past Sunday was the return of cutting classes to Swordwind! If you missed we will be having our next in November. Keep an eye on our schedule either here or in the gym for dates and times. We look forward to seeing you! Till then stay sharp! #HEMA

Interlude.

Been a fantastic start to the week, and more about the classes tomorrow. For now though, tea and Baldur’s Gate (again). See you on the sunny side.

Had our first official cutting class Sunday. Since most of the people were very new to it we just stuck with paper cutting this time to work on edge alignment and overall structure. Got some good feedback/advice and am now trying to figure out the best way to hang a roll of paper at home. #HEMA

A few more pages of Girard Thibault (only one of which belongs to me). To stand and marvel at these is an honour, and what subtleties you miss in most reproductions.

General assembly of the French #HEMA Federation will take place on Oct. 18. I renewed my candidacy for a third mandate to the board of administration.
