Gorgeous Autumn day in the #Gaspesie. Leaves are changing colours; there is currently no wind so we can hear the gannets diving and call of loons. The sea is flat which makes it easy to spot things - I might have finally seen a basking shark.

Speaking of fish, today I went to "Cap au large - Expérience 4D": an immersive "4d" movie of the local Rivière-au-Renard #Gaspesie fishing boats. I enjoyed it, it portrays a unique slice of local life in which commercial fishing plays a huge role.

This is Hyman House in Park Forillon in #Gaspesie, an example of the little stores that fishing communities could buy from. offen they paid in company credit, which somehow they never broke even on... because the fishing companies set the prices of the fish they bought and the goods that were sold!

Our virtual / fantasy Gaspesie! Carleton sur Mer and a very exaggerated Chateau Bahia in the hills. :D This is taking place mostly in the 1700's in our world.
