St Monan’s Fife
Cheery cherubs and oversized vases on the font of 1632 at St Mary the Great, Cambridge.
Vigorously carved I particularly like the figures waving their reading material as if they're desperate to share their favourite article with us.

I like the simplicity of the shape & the wonderful “marbling” of this holy water stoop.

#FontsOnFriday in St Peter's, Cambridge. It is decorated with mermen at the angles, with forked (or bifurcated) tails, which they hold out on either side to form curves, meeting at the centre of each face of the bowl.
Bold Romanesque decoration, echoed in a similar font in St George's, Anstey.
Just before #FontsOnFriday comes to an end, here's the lovely example from our #ScottishChurchOfTheWeek, St Mary's Scottish Episcopal Church Aberfoyle.

The Grinling Gibbons white marble font in Christopher Wren's 17th C St James Piccadilly is just very, very beautiful.
Adam, Eve and serpent cling to the tree of life that supports the bowl, featuring a relief of baptism of Christ.
William Blake was baptised here 11 December 1757.
