🎶You have forsaken all the love you've taken
Sleepin' on a razor there's nowhere left to fall
Your body's aching, every bone is breakin'
Nothin' seems to shake it, it just keeps holdin' on
Your soul is able, death is all you cradle...🎶

🎶A man got a right to wonder
A man got a right to dream
Without looking over his shoulder
To choose the manner of the life he leads
One man's thoughts on another man's skin
We are lovers, warriors, magician kings🎶

🎶Life is like the coldest winter
People freeze the tears I cry
Words of hell their minds are into
I've got to crack this ice and fly
Gonna hitch a ride
Head for the other side
Leave it all behind🎶

🎶Struggling down the slope,
Not much hope
I begin to try to ride the scree
Rocks are tumbling around me
If I want John alive
Got to ditch my fear, take a dive
While I've still got my drive to survive🎶

🎶We sailed across the air before we learned to fly
We thought that it could never end
We'd glide above the ground before we learned to run, run
Now it seems our world has come undone🎶

🎶It gets so sticky down here
Better butter your cue finger up
It's the start of another new year
Better call the newspaper up
2.50 for a highball
And a buck and a half for a beer
Happy hour is here🎶

Singers can shape, accent, and pace words within the rhythm and melody, whilst also using dynamics, tempo and inflection to tell a story/ convey emotion. It breathes life into songs and makes them unique.
These are great. 😎

🎶So I found out your reason
For the phone calls and smiles
And it hurts that I'm lonely
And I should never have tried
And I missed you tonight
So it's time to leave
You see it meant everything to me🎶

🎶There's nothing changed
Look in your eyes
You're worlds away
Where art is love is science
A million miles
A thousand minds
Now worlds away
Don't say goodbye
When you can love only one thing
And they want you to know
It's you🎶

🎶It's late and I'm with my love alone
We drink to forget the coming storm
We love to the sound of our favourite song
Over and over
Dancing with tears in my eyes
Living out a memory of a love that died🎶

Mountains can be moved
Love come down upon us 'til you flow like water
Burning with the hope of insight
Feathered, look, they're covered with a bright elation
Stolen in the sight of love🎶

🎶You got the socket, and I got the plug
I am the floor, and you are the rug
I got the rhythm, and you got the beat
We feed each other from our souls to our feet
And you know I love you
You know I love you, don't you?🎶

🎶And maybe love is letting people be just what they want to be
The door always must be left unlocked
To love when circumstance may lead someone away from you
And not to spend the time just doubting
What is love anyway?🎶
