@mflah.bsky.socialI'm just back from a weekend away to find a #bandcampfriday purchase already on my doormat for an unexpected #cassunday evening 😍
@russelltrench.bsky.socialThe Outfield - Voices of Babylon (1989)
Played on a refurbished Philips FCD-463 (from 1987) that I picked up for free at a repair café.
@ironichill.bsky.socialIf someone put a gun to my head and made me choose my favourite Jamaican vocal group (unlikely, but you never know) I think I'd choose The Ethiopians, but The Heptones wouldn't be far behind.

Jeanne Lee: Conspiracy (1975)
Soul stirring free music showcasing Lee's astounding open vocal techniques, accompanied by Gunter Hampel & his band, with Sam Rivers also adding sax & flute. A timeless beauty.

@rockettemorton.bsky.socialOver the past month I’ve been listening to this one of a kind tape from @returntoroot.bsky.social
A true field recording from July 2026. Side A starts slow, has some underlying rumble, doves, and then it consumes me. Side B is the Greenhouse Drip 😎 #Cassunday

@ironichill.bsky.socialI actually experienced shivers while listening to this yesterday. That hasn't happened to me in years. I think it was, at least in part, because I really needed a wee, but still. #cassunday
