The former Pollokshields West Church on the corner of Nithsdale Road and Shields Road on the Southside of Glasgow. Built in the 1870s, it has a distinctly Thomsonesque look, but was designed by W.G. Rowan.

Love this pair of walruses supporting the sculpted coat of arms above the entrance to Ocean Chambers on West George Street in Glasgow. It was constructed in 1899 for the Ocean Accident and Guarantee Corporation.

St Margaret’s Church, Bodelwyddan, known as the Marble Church, with its tall Gothic tower and sharply pointed spire rising against dramatic warm-grey clouds. Pale stone walls, narrow arched windows and dark rooflines create a strong vertical composition with a slightly golden cast.
